I guess the kinda disappointing sales figures for February and March are the reason BYD has lowered the sales target to 3.6 million from 4/4.2

I was expecting something like 350k units at least after so many price cuts

Seems like price war can only do so much

SHANGHAI, April 1 (Reuters) - China's SAIC Motor (600104.SS), aims to cut thousands of jobs this year at its joint ventures with General Motors (GM.N), and Volkswagen and at an electric-car unit, two people with knowledge of the matter told Reuters.

The state-owned automaker hopes to cut 30% of employees at SAIC-GM, 10% at SAIC Volkswagen and more than half at its Rising Auto EV subsidiary, the people said.

What are you talking about?

these march numbers are expected. It would be higher if they were able to produce more.

they have not set any guidance.

New denza n7 has been launched. Huge price cut across the board & it now claims city noa will be released at end of this month and pushed out nationwide by end of the year. Denza is way too conservative here

What a complete utter waste of time for everyone involved, including those reading it.

"Let's drive an electric vehicle and write an article about it and compare it to Tesla throughout the title and article body".

"Oh by the way I've never actually driven a Tesla either, but let's leave that at the very end"

This is content mill quality drivel.

72 hour report on Su7, so far about 40-45% conversion rate on those announced orders. So more like 40k locked in order. Some left who have yet to cancel or lock in. The longer wait time seems to have triggered cancellations. Model 3 is compared to the most, but Zeekr is another competitor

i think Wuling is going to get hammered by BYD over the next few months

That’s really bad for those working there, what protections do workers get when laid off by SOEs?
