It is open to everyone, but requires extensive conformance. So far, apple has only approved byd for uwb. Which should show you how difficult it is to pass apple’s validation on this and how closely byd must have worked with apple to be the only one to be approved to use it.@coolgod is correct, UWB should be an open to all manufacturers
That being said, probably BYD is the only one that implemented it through UWB so far
There are others (BMW, Hyundai-Kia), but they are using Bluetooth

Again, only byd has access to uwb right now.
I mean you can look up other ev makers in China and see who else mention uwb support in their OTAs or product releases.
I can only tell you what I hear from those programs in China from people in automotive industry. Many automakers want uwb access, but only byd has gotten it so far. That should tell you something. Remember, byd is the biggest player. It was supposed to be the battery supplier for apple planned car. And it is a major apple supplier. There are many reasons why byd is prioritized ahead of othersOh absolutely, Apple is known to provide extra support to important clients.
That being said, I think it's likely that BYD is the only one with support not because of their relationship with Apple, but because they chose to have the "best" solution. UWB is supposed to be technically superior than BLE, but BLE is cheaper. Most automakers prefer the latter.

I asked a few months ago, is there any updates regarding the CATL condensed batteries? Doesn't seem like there's anything that came out since they announced it early last year.
Rather than solid-state, Zeng said his group was targeting sodium-ion batteries and condensed-matter batteries — which use a semi-solid material — with prototypes already in production.
