Kind of an older video but wanted to share since a lot of people pulled off the street thought that the seal was a Porsche, Audi, or Aston Martin! Well done with the design.
The current Chinese sedan offerings all look gorgeous in person. Whether it's a P7, ET5, Seal, Aion S etc. they just nail the premium contemporary look. Absolute no-brainer to pick a domestic option these days

What’s so good about wagons? I don’t get it, is it some kind of inertia that makes Europeans biased, or they really can do something SUVs can’t? Vans, minivans, Kcars, pickup trucks, they are popular for a reason, but wagons? They are basically stretched sedans, let alone their structures are fundamentally weaker than a normal sedan.

Leaning OT for this thread but think a big part as a consumer is that it's seen as implying something about the driver. 4x4s here are generally viewed as being owned by egotistical drivers with questionable driving ability (the "Chelsea Tractor" owner) whereas estates are seen as the pick of an enthusiast wanting sedan-like driving characteristics as well as some practicality. Snobbery in essence

My own reasons would be that they're more aerodynamic and feel lighter, personally prefer the proportions, don't like the high sitting position of a 4x4 etc. but hey it's great that there are options for everyone

They use less fuel. If you had to pay European fuel taxes you would understand.

better fuel economy than a sedan or suv, equal or better storage compared to a suv with easier loading, imo looks better.

you can see my posting of 200-300k rmb market here in 2023. Tesla imo will see sales decline in China in 2024

Coincidentally, the post that follows yours summarizes Tesla's future problems in China right on the nail.

Tesla was always designed to be a powertrain first and everything else second. It didn't really matter that the actual car features (minus the software touches) were (are) actually quite bad. There really is no good reason not to have things like lidar, driver's info screen, radar, and lots of build quality/materials complaints. If they don't improve on the design and actual "car parts", the next stupid software trick like "winter butt blaster" won't be enough.
