Wow....how Come one brand can have so many sub brands? Doesn't make sense, as its just depreciates their real brand value?.

General Motors used to be very successful in the past because of their multi-brand approach. Different brands would cover different price ranges, niche markets, regions, etc.

That was why GM reduced the number of brands, due to confusion and dwindling sales.
