BYD is working with a number of bus manufacturers around the world either providing powertrain or whole chassis. Very common arrangement for BYD
Off the top of my head there are also Gemilang (Malaysia), Alexander Dennis (UK), and the India Joint venture (that everyone hates except you, although I agree with you, risk-reward play)
I don't think anyone is thinking this car should be driven again, but we've seen some of the absolutely devastating Chevy Bolt and Tesla fires, BYD always says LFP won't ignite the way regular Li batteries will. Li actually has a bit of a checkered past if people really think about it, from PowerBook 5300 (yes, I'm old), to Samsung Note, to Bolt
Not advocating for violence, but I was actually wondering if we would see this as well. Kind of a real world test of how safe BYD batteries really are vs. marketing talk.
