New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) in China

Reading the comments, I can sense the biggest challenge for Chinese EV makers in the European market is not engineering, technology, or innovation, but the good old racism and the poor reputation of Chinese products.

Also funny that even Spain is not a car manufacturing powerhouse, all they have is VW owned SEAT, yet they have the gall to look down on Chinese carmakers.

Internet comments are of no substance. If we go by internet comments, Toyota would be out of business because their cars are "bland and boring". MG4 is selling very well in Europe. Volvo, Tesla, Dacia, Polestar are either Chinese-owned, or Chinese manufactured.

People's comments are usually more racist than their wallets.

All major automakers need to procure Chinese batteries. Even South Korean batteries manufacturers needs to source from China for critical materials.

Renault and Nissan are co-producing the Megane EV/Ariya. They were trying to do the battery technology in a Japanese JV with NEC (AESC) before selling it to the China-based company Envision. Major Japanese auto supplier supplying to Tier 1 global manufacturers sold to a Chinese company, good luck finding that headline.

SAIC VW & SemiDrive are partnering up for EV/AV projects. not sure why VW needs another JV

Denza D8 deliveries have started

37% NEV penetration in Aug so far

NEV maintenance cost far lower, I can attest to that

BYD to present 6 models + Denza D9 at munich auto show

Think SAIc made the call for the JV and not VW. VW's software division is run out of Cariad now, especially for all the infotainment. Their VP is in wolfburg this week, so I doubt VW made the call.
