I've been reading this for quite some time not not sure when did actually happened. India ordered up to 1000 BYD K9 electric buses but BYD demanded money first.

However, this also caused dissatisfaction in India.

In fact, after receiving India's attitude, BYD also made concessions and proposed four batches of delivery methods, agreeing that India will pay after each batch is delivered.
Before delivery, BYD first disassembled the battery power system in the bus, which is equivalent to transporting a batch of empty shells first, and then sent the battery to India after the money was received.

Huawei showcases its AI cloud for ADAS
should be a nice option for many automakers

BYD with more photos of Bao 5

Also more details on the N8
not as large as I thought. Still smaller than the L7

More details on BYD's large cylindrical battery. Looks like it has many applications, which is probably the end goal here. BYD is a battery company. It needs to sell batteries to variety of applications

GM sells more cars in China than it does in the US. Two can play that sanctions game.
Not really, China won't sanction GM business just because of the US. China still wants to show they are always open for business. To be honest, they are more business minded than political. Else even Ericsson would have been banned in China whe Sweden imposed a ban on Huawei from any 5G deal in Sweden.

It could actually be really clever for BYD to do a joint-venture in USA with Ford or something.
You are joking right? The US wants nothing to do with any Chinese company on its soil whatsoever. That's also the advantage of the incumbent power ,especially one who is not only powerful in its own right but also with lots of powerful allies globally, so they can afford to be so picky.

Not joking. I agree with your point, and it's precisely why I think that a JV with an American company is the only way China can break into America's car market IMO.

From the perspective of Ford, they'd be getting cutting-edge EV technology for basically no cost, and BYD finally gets access to the American car market. This makes US government's decision making tougher, because now they have to balance Ford's economic interests against US's anti-China bias.
