Musk’s Tesla Master Plan Lacks Drive. And a Car.
This is what I have been talking about. Now the Wall Street is catching up. TLSA valuation has peeked.
Why don't they release a smaller car? Are they scared of BYD?

They have a leader that's distracted with other ventures and continues to believe the Tesla brand will win.Why don't they release a smaller car? Are they scared of BYD?
Battery systems/software come to mind as the few systems that requires intense RnD/infrastructure for EVs compared to ICE cars, if behemoths like BYD are willing to share it would lower the cost of entry, since they would also be able to share maintenance network.Traditionally the most important components of ICE cars for carmakers have been the engine and transmission. How hard they were to get right made it so that only the largest carmakers could create competitive products.
Does anyone know if EV drivetrains function the same way? Meaning only large carmakers with a complete, advanced powertrain can produce competitive products, or are the parts (motors, reducers, inverters, OBC, DC/DC, PDU etc) simply commodities that any small startup can piece together to make a decent product? Are EVs going to bring a new era of tons of small car companies?
They probably will build less expensive models in the Mexican plant. However, by the time the Mexican plant becomes operational, sodium battery and LMFP battery probably will be widely available for Chines EVs and Chinese EVs will remain competitive. Why don't they release a smaller car? Are they scared of BYD?
Damn, 3 new sedans? This is a great sight to see, look at all the prototypes. I would recommend browsing through her entire thread on this. And yes, she is in Shenzhen right now.
How much does it cost?Robosense with new Lidar coming onto the market. Would not be surprised if this ends up on BYD cars. It's really amazing to see how much commercial grade sensors have improved. I'd imagine a lot of this technology get adapted for military use in the future.
A hilarious video introducing the bZ3. Lets see how the bZ3 sells, Toyota really need it to do well since the bz4x did terrible.Toyota's second pure EV (if you don't count the failed products in the past) rolls off production line and will reach consumers' hand soon.
