Ev bus sales from so far this year.
Yutong 3747
Byd 1951

These two are the leaders. In the past 4 years, electric bus sales have actually been going down domestically. Indicates high degree of electrification in the domestic mass transport sector. For example, back in 2018, yutong sold 24k and byd sold 12k buses.

In the first half of the year, South Korea's import of Chinese electric vehicles increased by 368% year-on-year. HUGEEEE

For the first time in almost thirty years, South Korea quietly recorded a trade deficit with China in 2022. Despite assurances from Korean policymakers that this unprecedented decline was extra-ordinary and transitory. time truly has changed

Maybe it is transitory like the inflation is.

doubt it. trend will not change in near future as China keep climbing in high value supply chain. they also lost in low end semiconductor to China. and trying hard to keep their lead in high end. but it won't last forever

South Korea may expand exports of auto parts and other items to China.
S.Korea is the real junior partner. They have no choice other than integrating with the Chinese EV supply chain

This is kind of interesting. Geely continuing its strategy of acquiring underperforming companies.

BYD continuing to get more attention now in Western media. I do find it interesting these people continue to vastly underestimate Chinese EV industry, especially BYD. Even research from Chinese financial research papers are showing much lower projections than where they should be.

Tesla now is showing just 87 days of wait time for Shanghai giga. It's quite obvious to me that Tesla has to start lowering prices in Shanghai if it wants to remain in demand.

From Chinese social media:
Denz D9 has now arrived in Denza stores in Guanzhou and Shenzhen. It will soon start arriving in Shanghai, Beijing, Qingdao, Jinan and Xi'an.

No wonder S. Korean is so reluctant to join the Chips 4

The "Uyghur law" won't work - today's case in point:
