Does CATL have any newer batteries to compete with tesla?
CATL makes batteries for Tesla. For example, it's building a battery factory next to Tesla's Shanghai gigafactory to supply batteries for the gigafactory. I don't think they are really in competition with each other.

Tesla to Locate China Design Center in Beijing (to design cars for the global market)

The electric-car maker’s placement for the center, which it first disclosed in 2020, was cited in a Beijing government document

The electric-car maker had said it would build a design-and-engineering center to develop China-designed vehicles for the global market, but hadn’t said where the center would be.

Tesla basically buys batteries from CATL and Panasonic. They don't manufacture battery cells. They manufacture battery packs.
Tesla did buy Maxwell, a company which makes ultracaps, and which supposedly has some sort of lithium ion battery technology. But they haven't used it to make batteries that I know of.

Xpeng flying car. Cool video
But kinda concerned with how low they were flying and their locations. Regulations should be strengthened

The electric hydrofoil you see in the video is from a company called waydoo, which is a start-up funded through DJI's seed venture fund. Below is link if you would be interested in purchasing.

There are a ton of EV bikes and scooters in China. That's how LFP batteries were first introduced into the public back in the early 2010s.

Tesla Gigafactory 1 in Nevada has achieved a major milestone of producing a total of 1 million EV battery packs since 2017.
There are currently 13 production lines with a total output of about 35 GWh of lithium-ion cells annually. The 14th line is currently under construction, to increase the output to 38-39 GWh annually.
