Yeah, CATL and BYD have become relatively better known, particularly the latter because of the association with Buffet.

According to what I read here, CATL wants to build its own battery swap network. Why bother building so many systems for one same function? Why they just can't cooperate to make the system more popular and cheaper to the users?

The battery 400-500 kg, usually sytructural part of the car.

Swapable battery means more complex, heavier chasis, likelly higher center of gravity.

Means battery swaping makes the cars more expensive.
