The Brotherhood Alliance is complaining about repeated ceasefire violations by the Tatmadaw. Seems unlikely they will just keep taking the punches without striking back. Then again, they've already seized most (not all but most) of the territory they could realistically hold. Even if the fighting starts up again I'd expect more low-level skirmishes than large offensives.

In related news, the leaders of the MNDAA and UWSA met yesterday.

I think this Chinese new year will be a dangerous time. And 3BHA will try to advance to Lashio.

Following complaints about ceasefire violations, the TNLA has engaged military forces near the Shan/Mandalay border.

On Thursday, regime troops in four vehicles attacked Pain Pyit village which is in TNLA Brigade 2 territory, sparking fighting with the armed group. Details about the fighting are unknown.

Whether the Brotherhood will consider this a complete breakdown of the ceasefire remains to be seen. It's also possible that the TNLA resumes fighting while the MNDAA stays out. The AA has of course continued fighting in Rakhine this whole time.

Why are the signs in pure English? So rare
Except national level, I think the communication at middle and lower level between China and Myanmar government is in English. It would be very difficult to find any Chinese speaking Burmese. The difficulty of finding such competence is common among all "small" languages.

On the other hand, the communication with Kokang and Wa regions would be likely in Mandarin as that is their daily language.
