TNLA was in previous control of the town back in November, but retreated after blowing up the bridge. The area is relatively flat and favors attacker more than more mountainous Laukkai. So we'll see the government response to this.
Looks like confirmation of 4 undercover police being martyred and bodies recovered in Oct. Kokang leaders were liquidated / captured a few days later as response.
