I think they speculated it was a command module to which is why they were looking for it so they can control the ship.

geez, people. you gotta pay more attention to detail like real fans do. :p

1. Yes, the shuttle thing is the command module. When Wikus first saw the insides of the shuttle/command module, he went like "geez, this thing has been underneath your house the whole time and everyone was looking for it!" to Christopher, the smart prawn.

2. While the movie does not specifically mention a queen or a ruling class, in the documentary-like portion in the beginning, one of the interviewees did say something to the effect of "the aliens we found are just workers. it seems like their leadership has died off for reasons we don't know." -- And it does make sense, kind of, I mean if you and I were given a large cargo ship or a space shuttle, very human technology, we'd have no way of piloting either although we're human.

Just saw Shinjuku Incident, it was pretty good, I'd recommend anyone here to check it out. Sorry if this was posted before, as i didn't check the whole topic posts. Anyone got anything to say about Jackie Chan's acting in that one?

I ve just come back from asneak preview /teaser of Avatar, because my son whose back at Weta Studios worked on it.as a animator etc/along with 849 others.Practically everyone that works at Weta can claimed to have played a part in the making of it.. Man its out of this world in 3D. Certainly worth a look.

Anyone see the Avatar preview yet at Apple.com? (not the Last Airbender, this is for James Cameron's new original scifi movie.)

I have , I mentioned it in a earlier post. Theres a world wide 15minute teaser released. As I said one of my sons who works for Weta worked on the special effects etc etc. It certainly is different and worth the look, but at this stage Id say it was the 3d technique and special effects that capture ones attention, rather than the story line. Its touted as Camerons best work alongside Titanic, but Im not so sure, even though I saw Titanic, I wasnt all that wrapped in it. But Isuppose thats because we new what the Titanic was all about, so it depends on whether one liked the love tradgedy stuff.........not for me.:nana:

I went and saw Inglorious Bastards. Man what a strange and unusual storyline/film. I really cant see why they raved about it prior to the Cannes Film Festival, but it sure is understandable why it didnt win anything.

I saw it too. It was ok... average with some funny parts (but then again, which movie doesn't these days). I actually like the german guy much more than the allies.
