They started to do that in the failed JP3. Given the recent discovery's the old movies seem very dated now. Sadly it looks like they are now going to break from recreation of dinos and now make a original one.

A new official trailer:

So my original post about the cast was all wrong. Non of the original cast is in this new official trailer. And from the looks of things, the main antagonist in the movie isn't going to be really a dinosaur anymore, but a genetically engineered hybrid monster?!!

What? Sounds like a monster or godzilla movie now.

LOL, I guess the T-Rex just isn't scary anymore after King Kong beat the crap out of two of them?

Same old cliche of "genetic engineering going out of control". It's getting really old.

Even though I'm looking forward to Jurassic World, there's something they just can't replicate from the first movie. It paved the way for CGI near-realism. I remember going the first day for Jurassic Park at the Grand Lake Theater in Oakland back when you didn't have to pay extra for great sound. Seeing the T-Rex for the first time coming out in the rain during the night. The theater had the sound turned up loud and then the roar... You literally had to cover your ears and you can feel the vibration in your bones. That was ****ing awesome!

The only way they can top that is something towards virtual reality where the audience has an interactive emersion of visual and sound where you don't see what's behind you then you hear a twig break from back there... When I was at Comic Con last they surprised everyone where the forward half of the hall where the big events happen was all movie screens so your entire peripheral view was covered. The last one I didn't attend I heard it was now 360 degrees all away around. I'm not sure if they were actually testing this type of new movie experience but it's the next step towards full virtual reality.

Totally agreed. JP was the first movie where they had realistic-looking dinosaurs instead of the usual goofy, rubber suit dinos, and that was the most awesome thing about the movie.

In this day and age of Cloverfield, King Kong, and Pacific Rim, it would be impossible for Jurassic World to have that kind of impact.
