I went to see spiderman 2 with my wife last evening. It was all right.. Watchable but nothing to really write home about. It's like you see one spiderman movie you've seen them all ..... nothing truly revolutionary or exciting despite the reboot of the franchise.

We usually eat after the movies. The only thing that we would get occasionally is a drink. Back in high school and college, we used to sneak beers into the theaters, mainly just for the kick of it. We got caught once. That time, we got cocky and decided to sneak in 6-pack of Corona. As you can imagine, 6 glass bottles are hard to conceal. We had to give the beer to the manager as bribe. He let us go . The only time we actually ate anything at the movies was at the Alamo Draft house. Their fries were actually pretty good.

Alamo actually serve alcoholic beverages. When I went to see Star Trek they had Klingon Blood Wine on the menu!

In Texas it is a felony to sneak alcohols into most theaters. I never tried because it doesn't seem to be the wise course of action.

Glad to see another honest trailer fan on SDF. I watched almost every video. I still think that the Twilight ones are the best spoofs.

I just recently discovered them. I wonder if these are done by civilians or people in Hollywood. It's hard to tell these days.

I think the guy who does the voice over worked on actual trailers. The writers are probably amateurs (just better than 90% of your average Hollywood writers).

Just came back from seeing X-Men Days of Future Past. Good news for anyone who hated Brett Ratner's Last Stand and all the characters he killed off. Matter of fact the whole timeline since 1974 may have been erased or happened a different way. The Wolverine movies probably didn't happen at least how it was in the movies. So if you also hated Deadpool... I have to say it was probably the best of the X-men movies even though some questions did pop-up in my head. Also I don't know if some of you heard of how Rogue was cut out of the movie. I had heard that Rogue in the original story was where the future Sentinels got their power to destroy the X-Men. But in the movie it was instead Mystique. As you watch the movie, you can see the future Sentinels are more Rogue than Mystique. So I have to deduce because Jennifer Lawrence is a big star, they gave her that honor to where the future Sentinels got their power. I suppose if they stuck with Rogue, it would've be odd since it mostly takes place in 1974 and Rogue probably wasn't even born yet. So it would be interesting to see what the script was before they cut Rogue out. BTW they didn't really cut Rogue out because you see her in one little moment but her role was a probably a little more significant in the original story.

Saw a double feature yesterday with one of my sons.

X-Men: Days of future Past was outstanding. IMHO, did an EXCELLENT job of pulling together all of the loose ends from the various stories, and then, in essence using it to do a reboot of the series. And in a way that was exciting, interesting, and a LOT of action. With a very enticing trailer too. Five Stars. But not for kids. They now are in a position to keep the money they made off of the other movies in the storyline historically since First Class...but re-write their history now completely with more movies. Somebody has a very good business mind on them.

Godzilla was an excellent monster movie. Great action, a decent storyline...but perhaps a little too much emphasis on it. However, the action and special effects were very good. Four stars. Would be good for kids if they can handle the Monsters...probably 12 and up.

X-men has been one of my favorite comic books growing up. And Wolverine is definitely my favorite among all the mutants. This is why I felt unsatisfied with how all the previous X-men movies have portrayed him (haven't watched the latest one yet). In the comic book, the Wolverine is the best at what he does, which is fighting and killing his enemies. He is a no-nonsense guy and always kills in the most efficient and most violent manner. However, in the movies, he loses the fight all the time. In fact, every time, he has to pull out some miraculous moves just to pull himself out of the mess. He is always getting punched at and kicked at. It gives an impression that he wins the fight simply because he heals so fast and simply wears his opponent out at the end. That is not what Wolverine should be. Wolverine has been trained in the most lethal fighting styles in the world and has tons of experience fighting all kinds of wars. He should never be the wuss that he is in the movies :mad::mad:
