Really? I felt Up! was ok... It's a decent movie, but definitely not the best from PIXAR. I believe they could've done better.Up! was a good movie too.
Lets see how Harry Potter and GI Joe going to turn out.
Same here just got back, but I'm the complete opposite, I preferred the first one.. I wasnt able to keep track of all the transformers though. because some just appeared and disappeared, and i dont feel we really got to know all their background, even though they were minor parters.
I'm stilling waiting for them to make the actual transformers the stars of the movie. I'm a little sick of all the human characters playing big part in the story. In the original cartoon and movie, the robots were the stars and humans (all 1 of them) were afterthoughts. This was what made it so unique and different from all the other alien movies. It's all about the robots. It's not us finding out them, but them finding out about us. The whole thing is supposed to from the robots' perspective, not ours. humans do not save the day. It's the robots that endure all the hardship, go through the maturation process and grow into heroes. But Michael Bay made it just another alien movie with humans finding out about the robots and even saving the robots at the end of the day. The movies made the robots now mere assistants...:nono:
I guess since I grew up with the cartoon, I find any deviation from the original storyline hard to swallow... But the action is definitely cool
$14? I remember Harrison Ford being interviewed and the host asked him if he were at all concerned that his activism would hurt his celebrity in China. He said something like, "A couple of cents per ticket? Not at all." It cost me $14 dollars to watch it in IMAX.
No wonder Hollywood has been trying another tactic in getting China to show more American movies after their their threat "I'm taking my ball and going to India" tactic didn't work.
Since you watched in China, do you know what parts were removed from the movie? I heard just something referencing Shanghai was removed.
