Really? I felt Up! was ok... It's a decent movie, but definitely not the best from PIXAR. I believe they could've done better.

Same here just got back, but I'm the complete opposite, I preferred the first one.. I wasnt able to keep track of all the transformers though. because some just appeared and disappeared, and i dont feel we really got to know all their background, even though they were minor parters.

I'm stilling waiting for them to make the actual transformers the stars of the movie. I'm a little sick of all the human characters playing big part in the story. In the original cartoon and movie, the robots were the stars and humans (all 1 of them) were afterthoughts. This was what made it so unique and different from all the other alien movies. It's all about the robots. It's not us finding out them, but them finding out about us. The whole thing is supposed to from the robots' perspective, not ours. humans do not save the day. It's the robots that endure all the hardship, go through the maturation process and grow into heroes. But Michael Bay made it just another alien movie with humans finding out about the robots and even saving the robots at the end of the day. The movies made the robots now mere assistants...:nono:

I guess since I grew up with the cartoon, I find any deviation from the original storyline hard to swallow... But the action is definitely cool:D

To be quite honest, I'm kinda tired of Sci-Fi movies where you blow up everyone or everything that does not look like you, think like you, or agree with you.

Michael Bay never watched Transformers. Tells you why.

JJ Abrams never was a Star Trek fan. Apparently someone got a hold of the script which tells you JJ Abrams was not a Star Trek follower. Some of things that were omiited from the movie (have no idea if it was actually filmed) was explaining what Nero was doing for 25 years waiting for Spock to emerge from the black hole. Apparently after Kirk's father rammed the starship into Nero's ship, Klingon warbirds decloaked and captured Nero and his crew. Anyone knows Star Trek would know that Klingons didn't have cloaking devices back then. Someone at the studio in the last minute must've caught it. So Nero waited in a Klingon prison for nearly twenty-five years being tortured until the day finally arrived to escape. Other tibits that were left out was Uhura's roommate was the one that helped Kirk cheat on the Kobayashi Maru by planting a worm or virus that rewrote the program. Old Spock gave young Spock some jewelry that had a holographic message from Willian Shatner's Kirk giving congrats to Spock in becoming Ambassador. Apparently William Shatner didn't like what little role they gave him so he didn't do it. That's why it's not in the movie. Some other stuff was Spock's birth and there was some dialog when old Spock first encounters young Kirk on the ice moon fascinated on the chances that they would meet.

I was in china when I saw transformers 2 there with my Girlfriend, 100rmb(about 14.6dollar) per ticket and the theater was popped full with people, I would like to see IMAX version.
Overall I think its abit better than the first transformer movie.

And the Star trek movie should have been divided into a trilogy tbh. , as they are just trying to put in to much into one movie, it worked badly, alot of things they just jumped over and neglected it.

$14? I remember Harrison Ford being interviewed and the host asked him if he were at all concerned that his activism would hurt his celebrity in China. He said something like, "A couple of cents per ticket? Not at all." It cost me $14 dollars to watch it in IMAX.

No wonder Hollywood has been trying another tactic in getting China to show more American movies after their their threat "I'm taking my ball and going to India" tactic didn't work.

Since you watched in China, do you know what parts were removed from the movie? I heard just something referencing Shanghai was removed.

I heard that China removed anything that referenced Shanghai in the movie. I just watched transformers 2 today, and I liked it.

I just hope that Pug is Fixed, or it is a boy; because they would be some Ugly Puppies.
