I am seeing it Friday. That said I am not as... Strict when it comes to Big Blue. I was always more a Bats fan. the only Kryptonian Who caught my eye was Kara Zor-L... But mostly for the same reason she would catch Equations Eye.

I plan on seeing it this Friday as well with the missus. Hopefully it won't be too crowded. Should I go see it in 3D, regular, IMAX, IMAX 3d, 5 Star? huh WTH is that?!? ? Geez so many options nowadays!

IMAX? Definitely YES!

3D? Definitely NO! I am a staunch opponent of 3D. It makes picture dim and makes my head ache.

I think you guys will enjoy Man of Steel. Well worth it. And, I will take my wife to see it to0 (2nd time for me), in IMAX in a couple of weeks. I believe it will be awesome in IMAX given how it looked on the regular screen and what were obvious special effects that would play out well in IMAX.

In the mean time, while you all are seeing Man of Steel this week, I am going to go see World War Z this weekend.

I'll let you know how that is on Saturday night or Sunday.

yeah me neither but my main complain is basically the bug eye glasses. Maybe my head/ear is shaped weird BUT it seems like when I wear those 3D glasses it 'cuts' into me ear and hurts!

World war Z is off my list. Never was very big on the whole zombie craze and it just seems over done. I dont see any thing that really gets of coming so for me maybe the rest of the Marvel pics them wait for the new Godzilla and Ghostbusters 3 next year.

I saw Man of Steel yesterday and I thought it was a more complete movie than Iron Man 3 or Star Trek Into Darkness this summer so far. Yes there were some logic flaws in it but not as bad as the previous two. Those who haven't seen it yet look out for the references to other DC Comic superheroes. I was reading a Synder interview who hints this will lead to the Justice League movie where in this world Superman is the first superhero to surface publicly where all the others have been keeping their existence secret until now where the others will start to emerge. Also Christopher Nolan's Batman does not exist in this world so a next Batman incarnation will.

I don't know why executive producer Jon Peters seems to monopolize the Superman franchise. If you seen the video of Kevin Smith's experience with Jon Peters Siegecrossbow posted earlier, it makes you wonder after watching the movie did his obsession with arachnids influence the design of the Kryptonian ship designs. Also since he didn't like capes, is that why Zod didn't have a cape? All this just to appease Jon Peters who started off in Hollywood as a hairdresser to Elizabeth Taylor?

Saw this on youtube Stan Lee has drawn inspiration from China and India for his superhero characters.

Wow, so Man of Steele is that good huh?

Depends on who you ask. The general audience seems to like it hence the big box office. The critics like it less. I've read Superman die-hard fans are upset that he broke a solemn rule of Superman's at the end. They also changed the way Jonathan Kent died which I believed is more in-line with how it motivates people's convictions, Jonathan being the overly-protective father and whether or not Clark could've done something about it, unlike with a natural heart attack.
