It is more like the US wants to decouple but found out the hard way that it simply can't afford to do so. Therefore, the US figures out a new catchphrase of selected decoupling which basically means that the US picks and chooses what to decouple and what not to decouple but wait until the reality hits them again and finds out you simply doesn't have a say in such matter.

US Senator Lindsey Graham has proposed blocking oil supplies from the Middle East to China if the authorities decide to blockade Taiwan.

“I fear that China may set the stage for a blockade of Taiwan in the coming months or weeks. We must respond strongly if they do so. We will need to block all shipping from the Middle East to China. Let them know if you block Taiwan, we will cut off oil supplies”Graham said in an interview with Fox News.

Americans openly talk about intervening in Taiwan, while strongly against intervening in Ukraine. The only difference I see is Russia has a huge nuclear stockpile, and China doesn't. China needs a respectable nuclear arsenal, it's only thing US politicians fear and respect apparently.

Russia cannot threaten American homogeny. China can end it. That’s the true difference.

America doesn’t want to get dragged into the Ukraine war because it wants to preserve its full strength for the fight against China.

A lot of people were saying she was like Orban or a LePen light.
She much better than Orban and LePen. She immediately visited many Arab countries and sign deals for Italian firms. she trying really hard to boost Italian economics outside Europe. Italy has deep links in Europe. this thing not easy to do without some one in the system.

Let’s see how firm are Lai Ching-te’s aspirations if mainland tells him he will suffer 诛九族 no matter where they are in the world.

The CIA has a long history of using controlled leaks and disinformation to mislead "conspiracy theorists" and to undermine the legitimacy of the opposition. I'm unsure of what could be the purpose of this leak, however. Maybe leak part 2 will have the actual disinfo?

projected in November that TikTok’s advertising revenues will exceed the combined video ad revenues of Meta — home of Facebook and Instagram — and YouTube by 2027.

This is partly because people are spending more time on TikTok. In the second quarter of 2022, TikTok users globally spent an average of 95 minutes per day on the app, according to data analytics firm

"Japan will consider government adoption of artificial intelligence technology such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT chatbot if privacy and cybersecurity concerns are resolved," Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno said on Monday.

The remarks from Matsuno, the top government spokesperson, came shortly before Sam Altman, chief executive of OpenAI, met Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida during a visit to Japan, where Altman said his company is “looking at opening an office.”

"Japan will continue evaluating possibilities of introducing AI to reduce government workers’ workload after assessing how to respond to concerns such as data breaches," Matsuno said.

The talks between Kishida and Altman came as many countries have been stepping up regulations on the use of ChatGPT over suspicions that OpenAI illegally gathers vast amounts of personal data from its users.

Japan, WTF?
I mean, the idea of governments and the likes seeking to use tech and software like ChatGPT to boost productive/automate work isn't that bad.

But there's 2 pitfalls that I can already see Japan falling into.

1. They're gonna go and reduce staffing/employment as productive soars (this will have various problems).

2. They not using a domestic company, but a foreign, moreover it's a company from the US lmao. Say welcome to more even more spying and data collection lol.

In comparison, from the latest couple of Guanqi's, it's quite clear that various government branches in China are interested in stuff like ChatGPT to help improve productivity/automate 'boring'/repititive work, but they have requirements/quotas for employment and they are only seeking domestic companies, and we know very much that domestic companies in China basically have to answer to the chinese government and law.

US abandoned Afghanistan, South Vietnam, Kurds by throwing them under the bus, claiming they lacked the willpower, low-morale, corrupt, not worthy of spilling US blood. US will find a way to snake it's way out of responsibility in Taiwan when it comes time.
IMO they can still exit with some dignity intact if they are willing. All they have to do is allow peaceful reunification to go through—simple as.

That sunk cost fallacy hits different though, lmao.

Exactly why they shat their pants when Russia shoved the middle finger to them and went to China instead.
