How does that conversation go?
USA: "You will take it and you will like it!"

No, I think the conversation will go like this instead:

SK: Fir…
USA: I’m gunna stop you right there to save us both some time. Here is a pre-prepared set of answers to all the questions your people prepared for you for this meeting. Your welcome. Goodbye.

President Macaroni of France is getting a lot of heat from his ill advised behaviour, mannerisms, actions, and interview he provided to Politico.eu. regarding all things in China and the increasing tense situation with respect to the fate of Taiwan.

But despite the severe lashing and whining from his supposed "DEMOCRATIC ALLIES" Pres. Macaroni is doubling down on his inner deGaulle in trying to carve out a Europe that's not fully in sync all the time with their American insecurities.

I remembered something.

Remember before the pandemic, and Xi Jinping made a visit to Europe, that included going into those lavish European palaces in Italy, France, and maybe Germany? I forget all of that but those Italian and France palaces were extremely nice.

The point is, that trip was 2019 and it was a positive trip.

Then came the pandemic.

Now the pandemic has been ordered to be over in the PRC, the state visits between European leaders and Chinese leaders resume.

Seems to me that the positive vibes from the Xi trip to Europe in 2019, matches the positive vibes from the Macron trip to China in 2023.

Maybe the pandemic postponed the development of China and European relations, and with the pandemic officially over, then China and European relations can return to their normal course of development.

Americans openly talk about intervening in Taiwan, while strongly against intervening in Ukraine. The only difference I see is Russia has a huge nuclear stockpile, and China doesn't. China needs a respectable nuclear arsenal, it's only thing US politicians fear and respect apparently.

My belief is that is it all propaganda.

It is the expression from American politics.

Suppose they have a bill in the US Congress, that affects a certain district. Suppose some other place in the country sells something to that certain district.

It is an unspoken rule, but understood.

There is a difference between being committed and being interested.

The congressperson for that certain district is really committed to the outcome of that bill. While the congressperson for other areas in the country that has their local firms selling stuff that that certain district, they are only interested in the outcome of the bill.

They call it the bacon and eggs breakfast. In the bacon and eggs breakfast, the chicken is interested, but the pig is committed.

When it comes to Taiwan, we know who had what for breakfast.

Too much effort trying to make people believe this pile of documents is factually true.

Call me a conspirator, but seems like controlled leak.

"Macron Blunders on Taiwan—and Ukraine"

Macron weakens deterrence against Chinese aggression and undermines U.S. support for Europe.

Emmanuel Macron fancies himself a Charles de Gaulle for the 21st century, which includes distancing Europe from the U.S. But the French President picked a terrible moment this weekend for a Gaullist afflatus following his meeting with Chinese Communist Party chief Xi Jinping.

“The paradox would be that, overcome with panic, we believe we are just America’s followers,” Mr. Macron said in an interview with a reporter from Politico and two French journalists. “The question Europeans need to answer . . . is it in our interest to accelerate [a crisis] on Taiwan? No. The worse thing would be to think that we Europeans must become followers on this topic and take our cue from the U.S. agenda and a Chinese overreaction.”

No one wants a crisis over Taiwan, much less to accelerate one, but preventing one requires a credible deterrent. Mr. Macron seemed to rule out European help with that when he told the journalists that “Europeans cannot resolve the crisis in Ukraine; how can we credibly say on Taiwan, ‘watch out, if you do something wrong we will be there’? If you really want to increase tensions that’s the way to do it.”

If Mr. Macron wants to reduce American public support for the war against Russia, he couldn’t have said it better. Without U.S. weapons and intelligence, Russia would long ago have rolled over Ukraine and perhaps one or more NATO border countries. Mr. Macron says he wants to make Europe less dependent on U.S. weapons and energy, which is fine. But then how about spending the money and making the policy changes to do it?

Mr. Macron wants the U.S. to ride to Europe’s rescue against Russian aggression but apparently take a vow of neutrality against Chinese aggression in the Pacific. Thanks a lot, mate. His unhelpful comments will undermine U.S. and Japanese deterrence against China in the Western Pacific while encouraging U.S. politicians who want to reduce U.S. commitments in Europe to better resist China.

If President Biden is awake, he ought to call Mr. Macron and ask if he’s trying to re-elect Donald Trump.

The CIA has a long history of using controlled leaks and disinformation to mislead "conspiracy theorists" and to undermine the legitimacy of the opposition. I'm unsure of what could be the purpose of this leak, however. Maybe leak part 2 will have the actual disinfo?

"Japan will consider government adoption of artificial intelligence technology such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT chatbot if privacy and cybersecurity concerns are resolved," Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno said on Monday.

The remarks from Matsuno, the top government spokesperson, came shortly before Sam Altman, chief executive of OpenAI, met Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida during a visit to Japan, where Altman said his company is “looking at opening an office.”

"Japan will continue evaluating possibilities of introducing AI to reduce government workers’ workload after assessing how to respond to concerns such as data breaches," Matsuno said.

The talks between Kishida and Altman came as many countries have been stepping up regulations on the use of ChatGPT over suspicions that OpenAI illegally gathers vast amounts of personal data from its users.

Japan, WTF?

Agreed. When various MSM outlets act in unison then you know something nefarious is up. Look no further than Seymour Hersh revelations about the Nordstream 2 bombing. Notice how they evade the topic; trying to memory hole the whole thing.

Macron personally is not that important, because his positions are not radical departures from those of previous or likely future French governments. Macron was obviously unconcerned about how his remarks would be received in Washington and other figures may be more circumspect, but the essential French perspective that chafes against American hegemony and sees a multipolar world as furthering French interests will remain.
so we should expect to see Indo-Pacific name change. There is nothing better than French providing legitimacy to Americans.

It is clear that European nations such as France have no material interest in joining Washington's crusade to suppress China's development. Washington's task is to leverage its security relationships in Europe, particularly with Eastern European nations, to persuade them to act against their own material interests.
Eastern Europe signing up for EU made them permanent loser. Japanese got a surprize they had twice excess deaths in 2022 compared to 2021. not the historic avg.
This is a challenging task, but Washington has many tools of influence, and it is essentially the same task that confronted them in relation to Russia and its relations with Europe, in which Washington was ultimately successful in provoking a fundamental breach. Even in relation to Russia, note that it was Macron who would spend hours on the telephone with Putin, right up till the end.
Macron is entertainer. Russia introduced sovereign democracy and import substitution that is start of disengagement from Europe as one sided trade surplus was no longer acceptable and Europe was not willing to sell firms like Infineon or Opel. I would say covid was the fundamental breach as it gave Russian government visibility about its own population not particularly eager for Europe. There was Putin statement along the lines but stuff has disappeared from youtube. French were using American parts in SSJ engine that created constraints on price and production. similar with Renault lack of approach to make things 100% inside Russia for Autovaz but export Russian made parts to various countries to use in there production. This is not approach of multipolar world because France sending and receiving stuff in direction of American dominant countries. look at the chart in the link which direction human capital flowing from France.
