European independence is a farcical idea. Europe is already independent. It doesn't need the USA for anything. It is just led by an utterly incompetent and compromised EU bureaucracy. Until 2019 or so I was very pro-EU. Their handling of the Ukrainian crisis and Covid changed everything though. The EU should be stripped of all of its powers that aren't related to economics and cultural relations.
I am not concerned for China though. The EU bureaucracy is inept and European national governments are filled with status-quo politicians. Nothing will change.

A massive hit-and-run incident occured yesterday evening at a busy Zhengjia Plaza intersection in Tianhe District in Guangzhou. Many pedestrians were crossing the road at the intersection when the suspect, driving a BMW SUV, ram through the pedestrians.
As of now, it is reported that 13 people has been injured, and tragically, 5 people have died from the incident.
The suspect has been apprehended by the police. Before the suspect was caught, he was seen throwing money out of the SUV.
The suspect could be suffering from mental illness, or this could be a terrorist attack. Truly horrifying.

I dont think Europe was independent but it was allowed to act independent due to division in Mideast.
for past 80 years there were two lobbies in US that were not working together Israelis and Arabs. Trump changed that. now every one will be shafted and will know there true worth. it can come in various forms like US inflation reduction act, raise immigration to Canada that benefit NAFTA or Arabs outright telling countries like Japan where it can sell automobiles. its all about priorities and preferences.
It is in Mideast interest for US to punch Asia and EU harder so both running towards Mideast for business on there terms.
I remember we have had several members saying China should stay out of overt support for Russia or outright rejection of them in order appease the Euros so they wouldn't have an excuse to go against China.

Probably alcohol or some gang member if the money thing is accurate. There was reportedly thick fog but it was mentioned the driver kept driving for several hundred meters after hitting the crowd. Throwing money out of the SUV isn’t exactly a priority for terrorists or people with mental illnesses.
The EU commission is US infested.
Its at the member states where the real game is being played which is why the EU commission tries so much to strip theIR autonomy rights. The moment they achieve this, China will have no other way to interact with the EU but going to the EU-commission (a CIA-front nowadays)
Stupid woman doesn’t know when to quit. Is pushing Russia to the brink really a smart strategy for this woman, does she seek to become a radioactive specimen that badly. Seeking to be enemies of China and Russia at the same time is not smart, especially when the country of origin depends of both of these for survival and even running away to the USA for her survival isn’t going to help either given how the USA is equally vulnerable to hypersonic missiles as the EU and is lead by an equally stupid bunch of people. But then again, these beauracrats never cease to amaze me in how low they can sink and how stupid they really are. Thank goodness, I already went to Europe for a holiday because in the even something truly bad happens, I won’t miss going there but still for any members in Europe, in the event of a true crisis, please prepare in escape route because I don’t want anything bad happening to anyone here
