China having Russia, Saudi and Iran all in the pocket is unimaginable yet right on the cusp of occurring. Wow.
Yup. Agree completely. It is the fog of war.
It all started with the trade war started by President Trump, which morphed into the US government war against Huawei then into a semiconductor war because the Huawei war was not going as well as planned.
Seeing this rift between China and America, that sly fox Uncle Vladimir aligned Russia more closely with China. Culminating in a declaration of a no limits partnership at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. A few weeks later, Russia and Ukraine were at war.
The West in all their wisdom, decided to cripple Russia economically. Regardless of that ploy, from those actions, there is no doubt there is an energy crisis in Europe.
A few months later, seeing the higher oil prices, OPEC takes advantage of that, announces production cuts in tandem with Russia, which undermines America and Europe economically with higher energy costs and inflationary pressure. America reacts with anger.
What is the point?
Maybe there is two or three.
1. Every step of the way, seems like the Americans and its minions, made the wrong move.
2. The regions of the world, seems like no one will have the same relationship with the West from this point forward.
- Russia and the West is basically broken
- Middle East OPEC with these oil production cuts a big F U
- China and America are at loggerheads over a lot of things
- then China still has the BRI and RCEP going for it
Suppose China and America can improve relations. That will not change anything for anyone else. The resentments run deep. ASEAN will not cast China aside for America. The West and Russia would still be at each others throat. OPEC needs the money, and they never liked the West anyways.
The world cannot go back to pre-Trump days no matter what. China could, but no one else wants to.
3. What should China do?
Words are silver. Silence is gold.
