I don't know where you live but I'm sure you've heard the cliche that China can't innovate and that everything it manufactures is because it copied from the west. Basically insinuating that the Chinese aren't intelligent enough to create anything on their own without copying.
So I've heard. We proved that wrong by moving ahead of them in tech. If we hadn't, this would still be considered true.
A country's development (or lack thereof) has almost nothing to do with "talent" or intelligence, every country has talent, it has everything to do with a country's value system and where they place those values.
The value system is determined by the people. Smart talented people know what to value. Stupid untalented people place value on the wrong things. Too many of them and that becomes the values of that society.
Many of us went to schools in the west and are familiar with how intelligent students from the global south are.
There are very few countries that fit this description. The vast majority do not. I grew up in the US, primary schooling in NYC. I've seen it all.
The reason the global south hasn't developed an educational system that can find and develop talent is not because the talent is too few but because the economies can't sufficiently absorb them into proper dignified work.
And the reason they didn't develop such an economy is because they did not have the collective intellect or talent to do so.

I'm a very result-oriented person. If you say that a people are smart, you have to prove it with their national results, not theorize it with excuses for failures.

I'm also very positive on the global south; I want them to develop into strong partners for China and I want them to surpass the West. However, I do not give undue credit just for affection. China was a third world country that was poor and backwards; we rose to become a nation that the collective West cannot contend with. But that is our credit; our achievments are not to be applied to all poor third world countries as if they were to be assumed as recurrent patterns and results reproducible by anyone.

Not sure if this was posted before but another Pew Research survey.

As always, read critically with the understanding that it is not a purely objective publication.

Consistently though, youth report far better views of China than boomers.

Ha those stupid surveys mean nothing, they only sample a some number of people and ultimately who they want to survey to get the results they want. Since they never ever included me or anyone I know in these surveys. Besides, once the U.S. loses its dominance and China takes to top spot for good, these surveys will inevitably change, for one, all these surveyors and other U.S. bought lackeys will hopefully be given the permanent boot since in the future, these people will occupy the same level of worth a HK rioter has, which is the equivalent of a cockroach that is long overdue for a toilet flush
Yeah, he is appointing his friends. His cabinet will consist of yes (wo)men. That is the primary if not the only thing he looks at.

Isn’t her husband a sex trafficker, seriously Trump is filling his cabinet with freaks and war loving douchebags. Once things really fall apart, I think I am going to enjoy watching them pay for their crimes

"Experts say Trump's threatened China tariffs could actually help Beijing weather an economic storm.

President-elect Donald Trump has threatened to slap up a tariff of up to 60% on all goods imported to the U.S. from China. While that may sound like a potent economic threat to a country where economic growth is already faltering, could it actually be just what China needs?

"I do expect U.S.-China economic relations to be more volatile under Trump, but I think overall, this may turn out to be better for China," Chen Zhiwu, the top finance professor at the University of Hong Kong and a former professor at Yale University, told CBS News.

Chen said if Trump does follow through with his threat of such steep tariffs on China, it "might force the leadership in Beijing to have no other choice but to focus on the economy — especially given that the Chinese economy right now is in very big trouble." "

South Korean youth are being radicalized by anti-Chinese propaganda from the far right Yoon regime, which also ties in to anti-feminist, anti-LGBT and racist propaganda.

And recently some europeans r blaming CN on break of some subsea cables? Some also claim "sabotage" instead of accident?

Also read b4, months ago, that CN claimed to have spotted a foreign vessl trying to anchor near a sub sea cable in CN coast area?

South Korea's Yoon tells China's Xi cooperation needed on Russia, North Korea

Joke of the day :p

Guess Yoon took Zelensky's message to heart.

Please, Log in or Register to view URLs content!

'A war of two countries against one' — Zelensky urges Western allies to take decisive action on North Korean troop involvement

So this is why multiple media simultaneously report "north korean in Ukraine" misinformation. To justify more aid to Ukraine and to slander China.
