Yeah. From a national perspective Gaza is a convenient tool to discredit west, no more. If they liberate themselves, they are just another Chinese hating islamist country. Who cares. If they die fighting, they inflict attrition on west. So better they keep fighting and dying than win.
Israel is like an ally to China. Their action has crippled western rivals beyond any chance to fight China. And they actively destroy US stability and inflict attrition on them. Do they hate China too? Yes. But they cant do shit.
