I don't even understand why India is so polluted. At least China can claim they got factories to make stuff for the world. Whats Indias excuse?

One big source is burning left over crop twice every year because they don’t have money for any alternatives and 65% of India population works in agriculture. Something the government could help with but seems to ignore it.

I don't think there was ever any BRICS currency.
I know, but the video explains that as the development of the blockchain currency and the international transaction system was nearing the end of its development phase, the company backed out of the deal because of the US. My question is how much of a set back is this going to cause? I'm not much when it comes to the financial side of things.

EU slaps tariffs on Chinese EVs, risking Beijing payback

  • EU tariffs on Chinese-made EVs to take effect Thursday
  • EU members divided over tariffs in vote on Oct. 4
  • China has own investigations into EU brandy, dairy, pork
  • Brussels, Beijing to continue negotiating possible alternative
BRUSSELS, Oct 29 (Reuters) - The European Union has decided to increase

on Chinese-built electric vehicles to as much as 45.3% at the end of its highest profile investigation that has divided Europe and prompted retaliation from Beijing.
Just over a year after launching

, the European Commission will set out extra tariffs ranging from 7.8% for Tesla to 35.3% for China's SAIC, on top of the EU's standard 10% car import duty.
A senior EU official said the extra tariffs had been formally approved on Tuesday. The new rates are set to be published in the EU's Official Journal later in the day or on Wednesday. They will take effect the following day.
The Commission, which oversees EU trade policy, has said tariffs are required to counter what it says are unfair subsidies including preferential financing and grants as well as land, batteries and raw materials at below market prices.

EU wants to have a trade war with China and US. This is good for China and US, a good example of win-win cooperation between China and US.

Indian podcaster interviewing a Chinese woman to have a candid conversation about India and China. The title is so Jai Hind. This is far from the first podcast between Indians and Chinese. Open-minded and socialist Indians have been doing that for years already. And I especially dislike that thumbnail. Eww...
That was still an interesting conversation, but that Chinese woman was just too diplomatic. The podcaster asked some sensitive questions like Tibet, and she answered quite well, albeit too diplomatically. I would have said that Tibet belongs to China since ancient times, period. Though I kinda liked it when she called ancient India 天竺 (Tianzhu), which actually accurately describes it as a region, and not some unified empire. A large part of his audience won't appreciate her diplomatic tone anyway. He should have invited a real Wumao asshole like Carl Zha, and then he would have one hell of a podcast. But I know he won't, because its easier to confront a Chinese woman who is not too much into politics, than to confront a political Chinese dude who can debate.

If anyone thinks that this conversation is gonna open Indian minds, its not happening anytime soon. The Jai Hinds won't care as we can see with some of their comments below:

Yeah. Your father probably wasn't as innocent as you are trying to imply. Or maybe you're just writing this from your slum in Mumbai.

JH comment 3.JPG
You Jai Hinds will never understand. Your own nation called "India" had never even existed when all of these regions were already parts of China.

JH comment 8.JPG
LoL! If Indians were willing to listen and understand others, why then does all of your neighbours hate you?

JH comment 4.JPG
Good. Stay in your Supapowar India and don't you ever emigrate out. Jai Hind!

JH comment 5.JPG
Projection and lies. Your delusions and false ego had created your "ancient Bharatiya civilization" fantasy. Good! Enjoy your fantasies and continue dragging India into the Middle Ages.

So my big reply is: yes, the barbarians did take heavy Roman culture influence, but they are no Romans in the sense Chinese are Chinese in different areas. Feeling very Roman is good not enough.

Look at US. Both sides strongly believe in America like Romans, but never harmonized. Left think they are this liberal democratic culture spreading freedom around the world. Right think the nation is funded as white christian state that citizen act as they see fit free from feds. They both fervously believe in the identity of America, yet they are increasing fractured. America is at risk of collapsing like Romans, despite everyone strongly believe in America, they just do not believe in each other.
I just don't think that all civilisations are the same. China is unique in how similar modern culture is to ancient culture. All other civilisations have changed much more. That doesn't mean they're not civilisations

Modern western civilization is derived from the Greek and Roman civilization. It might be unrecognisable and many new people joined the civilization, but that doesn't change that it's a civilisation. It's actually much more common than the unique case of china

RIP Firewalk Studios.

Excerpt from Sony Interactive's statement:
Regarding Firewalk, as announced in early September (

), certain aspects of Concord were exceptional, but others did not land with enough players, and as a result we took the game offline. We have spent considerable time these past few months exploring all our options.

After much thought, we have determined the best path forward is to permanently sunset the game and close the studio.
I want to thank all of Firewalk for their craftsmanship, creative spirit and dedication.

The PvP first person shooter genre is a competitive space that’s continuously evolving, and unfortunately, we did not hit our targets with this title. We will take the lessons learned from Concord and continue to advance our live service capabilities to deliver future growth in this area.
Concord and Firewalk Studios are officially dead and buried. Can't say they haven't had it coming.

Apple to oranges. China is China, there is no western equivalent. Romans came close but fell short. To say western civilisation is like Chinese dynasty is a weird take. Western civilisation is comparable to Sinosphere, but not China. Koreans, Japanese, Chinese, all heavily sinicized culture but rather kill each others. Not just in terms of government but also identity. This is the western civilisation equivalent. They never quite solidified into discrete entity like China, it remain a loose idea. Romans almost did it, and would succeded if not for being insular idiots.

Late 90s is another big shame. Soviet dismantled their empire to be part of western super civilisation. The merging of identity almost hit a critical level. But it pissed off some greedy politicians, so western civilisation remain at stage of a loose idea not an entity.

Or the British Empire, another Roman model. Central proud race rule bunch of dirty colonials. Had they not been insular idiots like Rome, they would be a solid block of Canada, Australia, UK, US, India. How they were such asshole they failed to assimilate Irish next door was an amazing failure. They tried to remedy these identity issues later but too late.
