I meant Beijing is not at risk the same way people ride boat to raid it back then. It is still at risk of SLBM. Therefore should not be site of a capital.
True but Beijing in the old days was vulnerable to a massive Soviet Combined Arms attack across its northern plains rather like the WW2 Operation August Storm which disembowelled the Japanese Kwantung Army in Manchuria late 1945-books I have in my collection even hinted that a Sino-Soviet war in 1970's might have involved a loss of Beijing with the CCP moving its capital to the fortress like area of Sichuan-all conjecture of course -thankfully nothing along those lines happened(screw you Tom Clancy!!).And now it's a REALLY different world perhaps for once in China's favour and a very advanced ABM,antiaircraft, antispace system must be evolved by China like super PVO on steroids just in case

the Tujue, Xiongnu, tocharians etc were similarly two faced and Imperial China had whole foreign departments and embassies catering to the turkic peoples. Good to see nothing has changed, except what's bizarre is that modern turkey are simply greek descendants cosplaying as turkic peoples, not unlike modern anglos cosplaying as ancient romans.

Observe chinese diplomacy in brokering the Saudi-Iranian rapprochement, that Saudis are reopening relations with Assad's Syria. This is really why the anglo americans are so hysterical about China and it's not just because of Huawei's latest innovation.
Yet, notice how India is not even mentioned as much as Indians desire so much to have the same stature of China? My mentioning now is as a negative example of the state of indian envy.

Exactly. Moving capital from defensible yanan to beijing was asinine in my eyes. If historical legitmacy was the goal, xian could fit too, without compromise defense.

Indian media had noticed that Global Times temporary troll piece on Jaishankar.

Global Times should not have pulled down that article, it looks embarrassing. They can troll Pompeo, Trump, and Pelosi, but they can't troll Jaishankar? I don't understand why.

Yes, India should not be taken too seriously, but it is getting a lot of leeway for the things it is doing to China. Maybe China is just playing the ignore game with India? I don't know.

Trump was already on the backfoot. He was behind Harris in the polls and was only trending further behind. He needed this debate win.

Was Trump actually destroyed? No. But he pretty clearly lost. The fact that even Trump's major supporters like Elon Musk and Elbridge Colby are being salty about his loss tells us pretty much everything we want to know.

Remember, public debates like this aren't about who actually "won". It's about optics, and Conservatives are whining about bias and hosts because Harris ultimately gained the upper-hand.

Brb, gonna go look for a cat and dog to eat.
I watched the debate. Very entertaining! I actually laughed out loud in a few instances.

Kamala definitely did better than Biden, but a lot of Trump supporters or trump leaning supporters likely won't change their view. Already many are accusing the moderators of siding what Kamala, that's it was a 3 vs 1 debate. I sense many may be tired of Biden's policies and in extension will associate Kamala with Biden.

Either way it goes, it wil get messy, especially after trump was shot, people feel the system was already against him. Now at the debate, every fact check by the moderators could be spun as ganging up on Trump.

If he loses, I think there will be protests/upheaval because I don't think he will accept losing gracefully. If Kamala loses, she will likely accept gracefully but then Trump will be president. These are very interesting times.

I will endorse Kamala. At some point, I had lingering beliefs that the whole lgbtqia ideology could unite different groups in the US to make them more powerful, but I can now see it as the grifter and lunatic's paradise that it is.

Trump will push on his dogwhistles to create some pan-white-zionist empire, which I have no idea how succesful it will be. Maybe it will be even less succesful than what American "culture" has become under DP rule, but the key for me is that Kamala is known and failed evil, while Trump is an unknown.

The Trunptards are more bark than bite. Those that were thrown in jail for Jan 6th were crying for the judge to release them because people were being mean to them in jail. The crazies might gather enough courage but most of them are just hoping someone else does it for them.

Doesn't matter. Most people who are "political" made up their mind a long time ago. The debates are always for "undecided" voters. So yeah, Kamala pretty much destroyed Trump. Doesn't matter if you think the moderators are biased or whatever. From pure optics, Trump lost.
