I don't know about that. To the people who like Trump, he didn't say anything wrong and he Kamala didn't say anything electrifying. It was just Trump being Trump repeating baseless aggressive attacks and Kamala being boring and normal but with a high pitched voice.
Trump didn't gain his following by being super reasonable and killing people off at debate. He gained his following by being a loud and aggressive alpha white guy and he didn't lose any of that. You also have to remember society's subconscious expectations and how they shape the way people like or dislike a candidate or person in general. Those who dislike Kamala don't like childless career-oriented sharp-tongued women and she didn't make any headway there. They didn't like that about Hillary as well even though it was clear she was a better person for the job than Trump. Did Hillary do any worse debating him than Kamala?
Overall, Trump went in facing a lawyer by profession who has 20 years of mental acuity over him so given that, neither did any surprising damage to the other. And Trump's ending point was actually quite strong; he said why would we trust Kamala to get any of these things done if she's already had 3.5 years to do them but didn't?

Surely it should be the looser?! Having to see such horrors should be considered torture and soldiers will fight 10 times harder to avoid the psychological damage.
Trump was already on the backfoot. He was behind Harris in the polls and was only trending further behind. He needed this debate win.
Was Trump actually destroyed? No. But he pretty clearly lost. The fact that even Trump's major supporters like Elon Musk and Elbridge Colby are being salty about his loss tells us pretty much everything we want to know.
Remember, public debates like this aren't about who actually "won". It's about optics, and Conservatives are whining about bias and hosts because Harris ultimately gained the upper-hand.

I don't believe any polls since Trump beat Hillary. Everything in the news before that election night was saying Hillary will destroy Trump and Trump is flailing helplessly. That's just wishful liberal media with their fresh mouths thinking they can talk themselves into their preferred reality. I was in NYC; people said Trump is a bad joke and the joke ends tonight.
I was at the gym when the election got to the half point. I remembered thinking that those numbers don't quite look as they should for a Hillary landslide. So I headed to the bar to get in on the action. And it was there that I saw Trump win and I got to people-watch liberal snowflakes crying. My cousin attended Wellesley and I heard it was a feast for the eyes there; you could drown Michael Phelp on max dose asthma meds in those waves of tears.
So in any case, I don't trust the polls and while I don't care if Trump or Harris wins, I kinda wanna see Trump win cus the liberal meltdowns seem so much more juicy! And I see the exact pattern of how Hillary lost reoccurring in this election.
