Just one comment on Putin, in general.

I could be entirely wrong, but I think I only remember seeing a truly relaxed and smiling Putin when he is either in Russia, or visiting his friend China.

When Putin is around anyone else, like Westerners, seems to me his body language and demeanor expects a knife fight to break out at any second and he has to be ready.

The Chinese auto industry, still should target the American market for sales, perhaps in products like auto parts, which is a big market. Infiltrate like that, then the Chinese auto industry would know what is going on everywhere, to maintain is dominating position in the world auto market.

Some American partners are likely to step forward with help with that.

The right move is to just continue business as usual with other countries. Places like Mexico and maybe Canada that are close to US, but also in Europe and rest of the world ... when Americans visit there for business or vacation, they will sit in and/or drive Chinese vehicles and wonder why this doesn't exist in USA. Then they will bring those questions back to America.

One thing Chinese EV manufacturers could do to really propel this idea is to develop long haul EV trucking and buses. Then the transport and logistics networks of Mexico/Canada would pressure the US to allow these vehicles and their support in USA.

So pretty much when nothing is left of Gaza, except a small parcel about to be wrecked by a power that has already been supplied with stockpiles of weapons.. only now US threatens to cut support.

This is definitely aimed at the domestic population base who are protesting: "hey look, we are cutting aid to Israel" ... even though there is nothing left in Gaza.

No. Quite the contrary. The vast majority of ultra orthodox Jews (both in and out of Israel) reject Zionism. Of this group, the majority are "non-Zionist" and a minority are "anti-Zionist". A tiny subset is pro-Zionist.

Both groups are highly focused on practicing the religion. The non-Zionist avoid interest in politics or the usual Israeli state propaganda (unless it interferes with them, i.e. this new draft), while the anti-Zionist actively oppose Zionism in politics.

This new draft which requires the ultra orthodox to enlist in IDF is being opposed because they were historically given an exemption from conscription so they could put their entire focus solely on religious studies (and because they are non/anti-Zionist).

I think it's a bad move by IDF, as these people are more likely to be whistleblowers and defectors. Rest of the world can expose Israeli war crimes, but these guys can spread it within the Israeli Jewish community.

For the religious, remember that the Torah says that non-Jews are animals.

And for the non-religious, remember that successive Israeli governments over the past 50 years have supported what is now 2 million Jewish settler-colonists in trying to take the territory of the West Bank from the existing Palestinian inhabitants by force. This continues today, and every Israeli know it.

Because Israeli propaganda and media suppression is strong. Sending ultra orthodox Jews to the frontlines is what could spark more serious divisions within the Jewish community. Israelis don't have proper access to information in Palestine, but they do have access to and influence from ultra orthodox Jews within Israel. The anti-Zionist Jews in Israel are already creating rifts in the country, but they are a minority. The majority [non-Zionist] ultra orthodox, who've always avoided conflict, can create trouble in the country.

Exposing Israeli war crimes is why there are major riots across the western world today but none in 2020, 2014, 2006, 1982, 1971, 1967, .... 1917. It's also the first time in history that there have been some anti-war protests within Israel, as well as a record number of people fleeing the country.
