I know, right? Accountability seems crazy to people living in Western countries who've never experienced it. A high-ranking politician being held accountable? Impossible.
None of the folks I know that lean leftward on the U. S. political spectrum hold such quasi-religious perspectives; they simply seek tp prevent the imposition of such quasi-religious beliefs onto themselves and theirs.
What I interpret is that the folks that you’re referring to always attempt to co-opt the legitimate historical grievances of others into their overarching cause and that some, particularly millennials and post-millennials, are susceptible to their ‘persuasion’ and methods.
As one, “Boomer”, ‘leftist’ observed, “the revolution will not be televised”. However, millennials and post-millennials seem to not understand that this applies, also, to all media of mass-media capitalism. They seem to ‘believe’ that real social, cultural, or political change can be accomplished through Twitter/X, Tik Tok, et c.!

I recognize the folks you refer to; they’re not alone in demanding perspectival centrality!
Their owning of “the” environment is similar to, but unlike the “right” whose owning of ”the“ environment establishes their right to exploit and destroy ”the” environment for the good of their profits.
However, those on “the left” that I know don’t concern themselves with “the“ environment; they concern themselves with their environments.

How the hell did Biden manage to spend a trillion dollars in 3 month? At 33 trillion in debt right now and spending at the rate of 4 trillion a year you will pass Yellen's figure of 51 trillion way before 2033.
And the most crazy thing is can you think of any big spending by US government in the last 3 month that makes you think "yeah okay, that's a trillion dollars well spent"?

I might have mixed up a LoL game with the SC2 one, there was this game where the Chinese team was winning against the Koreans and the Team Korea fans were coping in chat about how China had to have paid the Korean players off because they felt like Korea was throwing. I do remember there was a link to the video posted on this forum somewhere though, don't remember the keywords to find it though.
