If China invades, the key to Taiwan’s defense will be a strong offense. Just as the Biden administration should never have sought to constrain the Ukraine fight to Ukraine itself, Taiwan should not artificially limit its retaliation geographically.

"Scholar Gordon Chang suggested that Taiwan could kill tens of millions of people by destroying Chinese
dams"

Commentary:

As we can read, American idiots don't have any problem when it comes to war crimes just as long as their side are the ones commiting it. The statement above alone disqualifies the supposed expert's thesis by citing the always wrong and never right Comrade Gordon Chang along with his sure fire way advice of ensuring that Taiwan and her government ceases to exist if such advice were to be followed.
To penetrate into the closest hydroenergy facility to Taiwan would still be a distance of around 800km. Depending on the quality of the missiles (which would for Taiwan range from LRHW to crude Shahed copies), you are looking at a salvo of roughly 200 (if they're all LRHW) to 3000 (a high low mix resembling operation true promise) to have a high chance of hits.

This is not a capability that KMT fighters have on standby, but something they would need to obviously build up towards for a period, giving China plenty early warning that a terrorist WMD attack is incoming.

During that time, one way China can react is to simply hunt the launchers on the ground before they can fire. They can also put the estimated target dam into controlled flooding, which would eliminate the risk of a dangerous flash flood, but also damage the local environment if it keeps running for months.

A vital thing that pro KMT commentators should be always be aware of before calling for WMD terror attacks on China is that legally, there is nothing that stops China from using nukes inside China. No first use only applies to other states, and even that is voided by "an attempt to attack Chinese civilians indiscriminately", which an attack on a dam would constitute.

Presently, no one in China seriously considers testing nukes inside Taiwan province as a means to end the KMT presence. Because mainland Chinese civilians are 100% convinced that Taiwan's anti government activities cannot hurt or even kill them.

However, were an unambiguous attempt to kill tens of thousands of civilians by flooding a dam be livestreamed in a similar way the rocket attacks on Israel have been livestreamed and watched by OSINT across the world in addition to local civilians, this attitude of invulnerability would immediately change. As such, China would have not just the legal but now also the popular justification to instantly end the war by nuking for example major rebel strongholds in Hualien and Taichung.

While ordinarily, there would be no need to resort anywhere near as extreme measures, China should keep the option well advertised in the event where Taiwan is part of a larger war, and/or unusual circumstances present themselves, such as the risk of WMD terrorism. Situations that would demand China to cripple the internal enemies within a week, which low yield nuclear strikes can achieve.

Drones are an excellent example of this. 10 years ago everyone knew drones were useful, look what happened. Just one Chinese company DJI can make the western MIC seethe for ages. DJI is probably the most important manufacturer for western forces in Ukraine right now.
It's been a long time since this was announced.

Unfortunately, nothing concrete has been done. A proper ban involving these exports would send the US and Europe reeling as they are trying to manufacture and restock weapons right now.

Yes yes, but you gotta test it to know. Not unless you spend time getting to know every individual. There is no better alternative. After all possible abuse, it remains most resilient compared to alternatives.
Oh, I'm not disagreeing but there is no "simple fix." As I typically say, entropy is absolute. Over time minor inconsistencies and flaws add up and cascade leading to systemic failure.

What worked in the past, tends to become standardized, but that method becomes overly relied upon at the expense of other strengths or metrics. A strong military made Rome but having too many of them created constant Civil Wars in Rome. Civil Bureaucrats helped create Imperial China but having too many created Exam Cheating, Palace Intrigue, and Corruption. Once there are too many "elites," the field becomes crowded and they begin to turn into politicking to vie for every diminishing seat at the table. Before in Europe, you had dueling, now you have "canceling" to try to get rid of your class rivals.

Disney says man can't sue over wife's death because he agreed to Disney+ terms of service

Disney is trying to have a widower's wrongful death lawsuit dismissed and sent to arbitration because the man had signed up for a Disney+ account several years ago.

Jeffrey J. Piccolo sued Disney Parks and Resorts in February, months after his wife, Dr. Kanokporn Tangsuan, died after she consumed food containing allergens at a restaurant in Disney World.

Piccolo said in his complaint that he, his wife and his mother went to dinner at Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant at the resort in Orlando, Florida, on Oct. 5. They asked several times whether Tangsuan's allergies could be accommodated, according to the complaint. Despite the server’s having assured them, Tangsuan had a severe allergic reaction and died at a local hospital, the complaint said.

Disney filed court documents in May saying the $50,000 lawsuit should be dismissed and resolved by individual arbitration because of terms Piccolo agreed to when he signed up for a free trial of the streaming service Disney+. The filing also says he accepted the same terms when he used the Walt Disney Parks website to buy tickets.

Lawyers for the company said that users have to select checkboxes that hyperlink to the terms of use, as well as another that says they agreed to the terms. Users cannot select "Agree & Continue" if the boxes are not checked, the filing says.

The filing included a copy of its terms and conditions. A section titled "Disney Terms of Use" says that "any dispute between you and us, except for small claims, is subject to a class action waiver and must be resolved by individual binding arbitration."

A spokesperson for Disney told NBC News: “We are deeply saddened by the family’s loss and understand their grief. Given that this restaurant is neither owned nor operated by Disney, we are merely defending ourselves against the plaintiff’s attorney’s attempt to include us in their lawsuit against the restaurant.”

The company said that its “position in no way affects any wrongful death or other claims the plaintiff may have against the restaurant.” Disney added that arbitration is commonly recognized as quicker and less costly than litigation.

An attorney for Piccolo did not immediately respond to a request for comment Wednesday.

Piccolo's lawyers filed a response early this month, slamming Disney's reasoning for seeking a dismissal as "preposterous." They said he signed up for the Disney+ account on his PlayStation but believe he canceled it during the free trial.

"There is simply no reading of the Disney+ Subscriber Agreement which would support the notion that Mr. Piccolo agreed to arbitrate claims arising from injuries sustained by his wife at a restaurant located on premises owned by a Disney theme park or resort which ultimately led to her death," the attorneys said.

They went on to say that the "notion that terms agreed to by a consumer when creating a Disney+ free trial account would forever bar that consumer’s right to a jury trial in any dispute ... is so outrageously unreasonable and unfair."

His lawyers asked the court not to enforce arbitration.

Piccolo accused the Florida resort and a restaurant of negligence in his wife's death. He said in his complaint that they told the server at Raglan Road that Tangsuan, who was a physician with NYU Langone Health, had severe allergies. The server told the family that the food would be made allergy-free, according to the complaint.

The family ordered their meals and asked again about the food when the dishes came out without "allergen free flags," the complaint says. They were once again assured by the server, it says.

Not long after having eaten, Tangsuan began having trouble breathing, went into a nearby restaurant and collapsed. The complaint says she was having a "severe acute allergic reaction to the food served at Raglan."

Tangsuan used her EpiPen to help stop her allergic reaction while a bystander called 911, the complaint says. Her husband, who had gone back to their hotel room, was unaware of what was happening, it says. When Piccolo called his wife's cellphone, a bystander answered and told him she had been taken to the hospital, according to the complaint. When he arrived, he was told she had died, it says.

A medical examiner’s autopsy report cited in the complaint said Tangsuan died from anaphylaxis and had elevated levels of nut and dairy in her system. Her death was ruled an accident.

The suit, which names the restaurant and Disney Parks and Resorts as defendants, seeks $50,000 in damages.

You worry is not unfounded. The US government did have a history of planting bugs into routers. They have been doing this for a long time.

Every accusation they make is a confession.
Projection rule, it just never fails. Every doubt I have is immediately reassured, that is how reliable it is.

Nono, what I am saying is everyone understand its flaw, and there are countless example of times people challenge it. And time and time again, the challenge fails due to people gamify it, and people return to academic tests. It is a system that withstood incredible evolutionary pressure.
