What I think is the gov will grants mndaa status like USWA and used them to fight other groups like KIA.Just reading some reports once in a while, it just sound like a complete rout.
If those ethnic militias in Burma stop fighting each other, then they will defeat the government army resoundingly, that is the impression I get.
So not surprised if the Burmese army is being evicted. There is no more presence there, and they won't be coming back, as long as the militias do not start fighting each other.

It seems like after Jai Hinds decided to boycott Maldives, Chinese tourists have replaced indian tourists as the number 1 country for source of tourism.
Chinese tourists are richer as well which makes them more economical.
Maldives decided to align with China and Jai Hinds couldn't devour the fact.

Correction. When Anwar went to prison, that was the beginning of the US's interests in him. They celebrated him as a political prisoner, like Mandela, and pressured the Malaysian government to release him. When they did, the US invited him over and gave him some benefits. Like medical treatment for his back problems, invitation to universities, audiences with US politicians like Al Gore, and political backing. It was interesting how Anwar managed to not get corrupted by the US.
As for the IMF deal thing, it is more complicated than just Anwar supporting it. There was a scandal that occurred in Malaysia during the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis. Mahathir was basically trying to use the country's money to bail out his son's floundering shipping business. The deal was to get Petronas, a govt-linked O&G company to buy out his son's company. And not just that, his son inflated the price of his company, so he could pocket even more money. Anwar disagreed to this because this is just wrong. The IMF disagrees to this because they have their standards for non-Western nations. Mahathir overruled Anwar and then later threw him to jail, while rejecting the IMF's conditions for financial help. It is only in hindsight that we saw the true nature of the IMF. But in the 1990s, the IMF was your only go-to solution, if your country is in financial trouble.
Who the hell did the coding and programming for the Starliner's software? Let me guess, it must be those same type of people who did the software for the 737 Max and Crowdstrike.
