Bogged down in an endless fighting occupation on your border that slips into and destabilizes your country and consumes the lives of tens of thousands of your soldiers and civilians, and costs you tens of billions of dollars.. yeah, that is pretty headscratching. That's not head scratching at all. That looks very much like the actions of someone who wants the US to stay bogged down in an endless fighting occupation.
Alternate take then. At that time, US was paying money to Pakistan for their support and fully intended to invade Afghanistan regardless. In that case might as well try to make money from it. So they betrayed Taliban for money.Bogged down in an endless fighting occupation on your border that slips into and destabilizes your country and consumes the lives of tens of thousands of your soldiers and civilians, and costs you tens of billions of dollars.. yeah, that is pretty headscratching.
They will not dare to do anything about it. They are too dependent on outsourced work from the West.Well. We will see if this won't backfire on the US. I doubt the Indians are enjoying much the US destabilizing all their neighbours.
A Western coastline for China would be fantasticSomething not given enough attention is the capture of Lashio by MNDAA (ethnic chinese militia) in Myanmar
Lashio is basically the most important military position in the northeast of Myanmar and second largest city in the area behind Muse
Some are saying it will make it impossible for Myanmar to resupply Muse, which is the largest city in the area on the border with China
This recent sweep by MNDAA and allies has turned a tiny Kokang (few hundred km2, population ~200k) on the verge of being assimilated into the size of a small country (10,000+km2, population ~1 million)
China's is now one big step closer to a western coastline. I wonder if MNDAA will be able to hold on and stabilise political control.
It certainly fits Sun Tzu strategy, when the whole world is focused on SCS and the X-Island Chain concepts, China suddenly gains a coastline in Myanmar lolA Western coastline for China would be fantastic
That's too bad. It would be great. It certainly fits Sun Tzu strategy, when the whole world is focused on SCS and the X-Island Chain concepts, China suddenly gains a coastline in Myanmar lol
However it's impossible. The strategic gain for China would be so enormous that I just can't see how India and the US don't actively intervene to stop that from happening. It would be a disaster for them to allow such a thing to happen
How would they be able to intervene when the country would not even hold a few hours if China wanted a takeover? US, let alone India, could not stop a Chinese annexation of Myanmar anymore than China or Russia could stop American annexation of Panama. It certainly fits Sun Tzu strategy, when the whole world is focused on SCS and the X-Island Chain concepts, China suddenly gains a coastline in Myanmar lol

Anwar Ibrahim, the current PM of Malaysia is one of the few exceptions. He had many trips to the US. He gave speeches there, studied there, and was endorsed by a number of US politicians. His "Reformation" movement in Malaysia was heavily supported by the NED and George Soros' Open Foundation. He was also super close to Erdogan. So people were right to suspect that he is US puppet.Yunus got a US Fullbright Scholarship. Getting one is a highly political affair. They are typically handed out as favors to people in families with close political ties to the US establishment. He also got medals from the President of the United States, and the United States Congress. His first wife was a US citizen and his first daughter was raised there. He is just about as obvious a US comprador as they come.
