Funny how it's always governments who claim they will "cut investments". As if it were the governments themselves investing, and not thousands of individual companies. Have I missed a memo on all the big businesses in Europe getting nationalized? Do individual companies belong to governments now? If push comes to shove, will they chose to side with the "western governments" where their client base is having it harder and harder to make ends meet, over the huge client base of, for example, China, which increases in spending power? I thought business capital doesn't have nationality?

At least the Italians and other europeans are more logical. They are okay with Chinese cars as long as they setup local factories, unlike the US whom either total ban or seize.
