The US isn't losing mandate of heaven. It lost it about 20 years ago. It'll take another 20 years for it to be abundantly apparent to all humans. A century of intense propaganda and brainwashing doesn't get erased and cleaned with just one or two generations. It requires an entire generation to be born and lived through the different era and their children to be born and raised with those new insights before indoctrination begins reversing.

FT still doesn't seem to understand what is happening. Chances are, without Beijing's crackdown, Deepseek/their parent hedge fund would have invested in real estate / consumer internet / fintech and became another useless company that is a drag on the nation rather than the huge asset that it is today. The crackdown was designed to shift market incentives to invest more in core technologies like AI and we see it paying dividends.
