No, the Taiwanese knows exactly what they are doing, they are planting mines for China later just like the British did in HK.

People forget Taiwan is full of Hanjians, tens of thousands of Taiwanese volunteered to joined the japs and massacred Chinese and others during WWII. They were just as brutal as the Japanese, unfortunately they were never dealt with. When China reunites there are some old debts to settle, both in and outside China.

It bears repeating that Taiwan's "Mr. Democracy," 李登輝 (Lee Teng-hui or Li Denghui), voluntarily enlisted in the IJA in 1944, while his elder brother, 李登欽 (Lee Teng-chin or Li Dengqin), voluntarily enlisted in the IJN and in 1945 was KIA.

I honestly think that people are upset not because they are fascists so much as they are incompetent fascists.

I just realized that this is also a projection. Remember when Xi became president for life in 2018 MSM kept on harping about how it is bad for a dotard to run the country? Now the 2024 election is shaping up to be Dotard Battle 2.0.

The U.S. merchant of deaths are not satisfied with the destruction and mayhem happening in Ukraine vs Russia, the killings of civilians in Palestine due to the response for the October 7th attack (western media narrative) and now their pushing their best to push and swindle the Europeans into inserting itself in Asian affairs against China. What could possibly go wrong?

First, I don't really understand his argument. He argues against Ozempic because it doesn't directly treat the underlying metabolic disorder, but the metabolic disorder comes from obesity which comes from overeating, and Ozempic does treat that. It's treating the metabolic disorder from a fundamental level which previous weight loss medications or surgeries did not do, and that's why it's so popular.

Second, he argues against Ozempic because it makes you lose muscles too. Yes, we know. It happens whenever your body is in a caloric deficit, it'll get energy from whatever tissue be it fat or muscles. Guess how a diet works? It also works be creating a caloric deficit. That's why even natural body-builders who go through a bulk and cut cycle have trouble maintaining their strength during the cut cycle. Ozempic won't let you cut fat preferentially, you still need to exercise to do that.

Third, he argues against Ozempic because of the cost. That's a more reflection of the broken healthcare system of the US than anything else. We'll see what the actual production cost of GLP-1 agonists are when China and India flood the world sans America with generics.

Fourth, he argues against it because of the side effects, known and unknown. You know what kills more people than anything else in the US right now? Obesity. There's even some evidence that obesity may be the #1 cause of cancer in the US. Everything in medicine has risks, it's all about balancing risks vs rewards, and right now it's pretty clear that the rewards of GLP-1 agonists far outweigh their risks.
I believe is he is arguing against artificial means or in this case the drugs like ozempic for treating metabolic syndrome and diabetes. Given he is a strong proponent of cutting sugar, processed food etc. According to him obesity is not really the problem. Metabolic health is the issue. Obesity isn't the cause of bad metabolic health. It's like a by product. You can be fat but otherwise metabolic healthy. And you can be thin but Metabolic unhealthy. He mentioned this is his other books. The solutions that he advocates are more natural forms of diets and lifestyle changes like cutting sugar and processed food.

Then again he seem to be not fond of the big pharmacy and food industry so I can see where his animosity with the drug is at.

I mean yeah, if you are a doctor and you have an actual diabetic patient rather than a Hollywood actor lol. who tried other methods and fail to achieve his targets through lifestyle changes and prefer drug treatment, then this drug could help. Provided of course, he or she can afford it. And he continues it for the rest of his life. With no long term side effects.

Idi Amin kicked out Indians from Uganda even though it was poor as hell. When HK came back to China, China put a stop on Indians getting citizenship asking what are british subjects doing there. People think its hard but its not. Indians are just very good at taking advantage of people's trust or empathy. Notice how it doesn't work with Arabs who just continue to treat them as slaves in the middle east. I guess those guy being near them know them best and how to deal with them.
