In addition, they have also started accusing their human rights record on their migrant prison islands and their Afghanistan war crimes.and then China is forwarding these issues to the UN human rights body.. Spicy, lets wait for the Alaska meeting, then the real fun will begin

My guess is that this won't happen and they will deny that it ever was on the table. Cai might have brought it up because to a brainwashed fool like her, the chance of Taiwan being enslaved rises every year as the chance to break free diminishes so it's best to do it now or never. Biden's team, however, wants Taiwan to remain a chip and pawn and also doesn't want to actually fight unless it's an easy victory but that train has already left the station so they'll want the former. They'll tell her hell naw, the US supports status quo.
What does it matter what they wanted to do. Only thing that matters is the Lord the US. And the US already backed down on 6th of January when the US military stopped their UN envoy coming to Taiwan due to PLA warnings.
IMO all this is grandstanding. The US did all these grandiose high-profile Quad/Japan/Australia meetings and statements to appear strong when they soon meet with China at Alaska.
However China already know this, so i expect that China will call the US bluff on the Alaska meeting. It will force US to show its real hand and then the masks will go off in that their hand is truly weak.
