The flight was likely diverted/scheduled there on purpose, to add to the insult.
Hogwash. It is simply the schedule he has.

Scholz’s first destination was the industrial hub of Chongqing, where he and his delegation of ministers and business leaders were to visit a partially German-funded company and other sites in the vast city, which is a production base for China’s auto and other industries.

Scholz is also scheduled to visit the financial hub of Shanghai during his three-day visit, before traveling to the capital, Beijing, to meet with Chinese leader Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang.

There are no reasons to "insult" him, China is not known to do diplomacy this way.

@jiajia99

I know you are far away from the Bondi tragedy, but here is more dangerous for you.
this was abit of a shock event for Australia. NGL I go to that mall like maybe a few times a year. It’s a pretty nice place in an affluent suburb just off the famous Bondi beach.

After reading comments on local Chinese language media reporting of this mass attack, I swear Aus Chinese diaspora are some of the worst. It’s like we have some of the most right wing, racist, flg type among all new Chinese Immigrants. and they happen to be most of the anti china western licking types.

lol. Anyone else catch this?
@Deino settle this with a honorable duel!

Scholz has arrived in China, and he has received a full-blown welcome ceremony by Mr. Xi himself. Such an important event for China at this stage

Scholz is not qualified for a village head let alone deputy mayor. Honestly it is too good for him.

Do you understand what would happen if Israel didn't state such a percentage? Public chaos and people fleeing to Europe and America.

Just the Hamas rockets caused so much damage inside Israel in the past 6 months that large groups of citizens fled the country.

Half a million Israelis fled by early December. That's 5% of the population gone in 2 months.

certain percentage of people will have to move out from the country either for political reason or economic as Israel is not very viable country when you look at service business like Tourism/ Education or Construction in these conditions.
Rockets at shorter distances are sudden, small and numerous. you should not be comparing them to drones or these missiles in known time period. if Iran has real modern missiles that could fly to the sea, loiter and attack ultra low altitude on shipyards than it would be worth discussing. AAM/SAM has that low altitude constraints. and it does not even matter what Israel claim or not claim in public as those who are interested in it will know the actual results. I dont think Gulf Arabs mind Iran (minority sect) gaining slightly more Soft Power as it will be at expense of Turks who cannot fire anything. I cannot find that article from few years ago either it was Arabic translated (War in Desert) or in Russian it was about this Syria operations. this will give you good understanding both technical and non technical why some thing is called Syrian Arab Army.

Exactly. I think people are forgetting that Chongqing is a directly-administered municipality with the status of a province. The deputy mayor of Chongqing has the same status as a deputy governor of a province or a deputy cabinet minister and higher status than the mayors of most major Chinese cities.

Source: IDF. Any source to dispute what they said?
I assume this is sarcasm? I mean, they haven't figured out and are still investigating how the humanitarian workers were targeted and killed, but they already know how many Iranian UAVs and missiles were launched and shot down?

Good luck to Elon Musk's Tesla Model 2.

China is NEVER out of wannabe REVOLUTIONARIES and ASPIRING SEPARATISTS. And the U.S. along with its many tentacles in the west and that also includes the shameless Indians who want to carve China out of existence don't waste any time in supporting fanatics like this newly minted REPUBLIC OF BASURIA. I checked their website and videos, lo and behold, they have guests from the usual suspects (Hudson Institute, Gunther euro thrash, and some American thrash larping as some sort of political aspirant.)

Here's the official declaration of their REPUBLIC:

Here's a speech from the self-declared President: FAILED IN LIFE, FRIEND COMMITTED SUICIDE BLAMES CHINA FOR IT.

Reason for creating the Republic of BASURIA:

Calls India an ally which is even hilarious since India is a conglomerate of assorted Kingdoms into one polity that emerged as a modern nation state in 1948. I wonder what these clowns stance on the Khalistan independence movement.

And there's more:

Another video expressing bluntly that the current Chinese history is nothing but a revisionist history created by the evil and corrupt see see pee.

If and when China becomes weak AF again sometime in the future, I shudder to think that the country and people's will have to go through another round of cleansing and reset.

@Temstar @taxiya @ChongqingHotPot92 (you're the most pro-west of the bunch here) and I even sometimes feel that you have a separatist leanings based on my cursory reading and subtlety of your posts. Why this phenomenon continuing?
No I don't have any separatist leanings, whatever gave you that idea?

People have been wanting to carve out their own slice of China since time immemorial, there's even a relatively successful one over in Taiwan as we speak. Generally though it's one thing to say "the emperor is doing a bad job, signs from the heavens say he's lost the mandate of heaven, follow me and rise up and we'll overthrow him and create another dynasty" vs "we'll split apart China and create a new country over this part of the land".

Chinese people will support the first case if the going is hard, since your intention isn't against China herself but the ruling dynasty. In modern day terminology this type of movement once created would be called "武装割据政权". Wei, Shu, Wu from Three Kingdoms, Taiping Heavenly Kingdom and ROC of today are all examples of 武装割据政权. A critically important aspect of legitimacy for a 武装割据政权 is you must claim your eventual goal is to reunify China in totality under your rule. If you win you'll become the new dynasty, if you lose you become bandits. But Chinese people won't begrudge you for trying, the worst they'll do is call you a 枭雄 (villainous hero) as we do for people like Cao Cao. If multiple such 武装割据政权 fight it out over a divided period in Chinese history people would even write epic novels about it later on and refer to the period as one of the many warring state periods in Chinese history.

Chinese people would be very much against the second type. When a 武装割据政权 gives up the goal (or never had to start with) of reunifying China under its banner than this movement transitions to a "伪政权". Examples of 伪政权 are Wang Jingwei regime, Manchukuo and if ROC of today where to transition to a Republic of Taiwan. 伪政权 are universally hated by Chinese.

This trend in Chinese thinking is called 大一统思想 and is fundamental in Chinese identity, has been since the days of Qinshihuang if not Zhou Dynasty. It's very unlikely to go away.

So these separatist that west support would never mount to anything, even if China were in a warring state period because they are fundamentally 伪政权 and not 武装割据政权. It's also why even today ROC dare not change their constitution to make themselves "ROT", even though their claim to wanting to reunite China under Three Principles of the People is lip service at best.

Three Kingdoms is actually a pretty good example because both Shu and Wei were fully committed to reunifying China under their banner, while Wu gradually moved from the same position to a more 伪政权 like position. As a result they gradually lost support from their citizen and eventually the war.
