That's not fair man. Indians like Chinese comes in many different shapes and sizes. Also, we shouldn't be disparaging some of their people even if it's just tongue and cheek commentary, it's beneath our standards.

Personally, I wish nothing more than for India to improve its economy so that it's billion plus people can have a better life and look forward to a better tomorrow. We all deserve that.

Not really gonna happen with Modi in the leadership (in fact, the current system in India is very unlikely to yield someone that can do what you want).

Europe has fell behind in consumer electronics since the 1980s and never really recovered. They are falling behind in software as well.

Next generation weapon systems like the 5th generation fighter also have been a disaster. Although there are relatively successful programs as well. Like the FREMM frigate, the M51 SLBM, the PzH 2000, etc.

Europe is still strong rather dominant in Civil Helicopter production. I will add RWD Automobiles/Medical sciences/diesel Subs that they will be near the top. There is no reason they cant succeed in Semi fabrication as they have the people and R&D. Intel and others still want to invest in Europe. Samsung is building advanced chip plant with help of ASML. Europe chip act seem effective as well its 6G efforts as many countries outside Europe want to collaborate with them.. what they lack is mass production , lack of public sector implementation and lobbies working against them. countries like Japan and Korea are not considered threat but loyal followers.
To clarify i am referring to these who want to create New Europe from Desert so they need to be inserted in everything Europe. they have unique ability to delegate work to others.

Budanow also reports that Turkey is no longer the central mediator in the exchange of prisoners of war, but the United Arab Emirates.

I believe Chinese consumers should boycott any US or Chinese firm that exports factories to India; India is an unfriendly country and is a potential enemy within this century. Exporting jobs and factories to bangladesh and vietnam is fine since they are relatively friendly but india actively wants to fight and die for white supremacy. So let them.

Chinese consumer are already ditching apple and tesla products, and buying superior local products.

More tariffs are coming, US-China trade war 2.0
Also wheres the P70 release?

Does not seem that trade war 1.0 is over yet.

Too bad, I like Yellen, she's okay.

:D

When Yellen was Fed Chairman/Chairperson, Mnuchin was the Treasury Secretary.

Those were the days. Trump!

What is this forums take on Europe's decline??

Is Europe's decline only economical??

Or are they falling behind in influence, military and technology as well??

I read in a book in my youth, by a Western person, that claimed that Europe never recovered from World War I.

That was a startling idea, for someone young.

It could be true. The height of European power in the world was about that time, then the Great War to end all wars, wiped that all out, as it turned out.

It some ways, Europe was neutered after World War I, they were not able to come back to what they were before.

Time and tide waits for no one.

Whether they deserve a happy future is one thing (in a fair world, of course they do) but much more important is their capability in doing so. Many Indians I see right now are essentially fleeing India for greener pastures because the future prospects in India are really quite dim so to speak. It’s not the capability of the individual that’s the issue since I do see a lot of Indians in may area with the capability to do some genuinely good work. It’s just that the government lacks the ability to exploit this fact unlike let’s say, China does and they seem to only be good as saying things rather then doing it.

Hinduism is one of the very few religions I know of that actually acts as a massive detriment when it comes preventing the majority of the nation from rising up to find their place in the world given that their caste system literally prevents a large number of people (untouchables) who could have massive potentials from finding a future that could benefit India as a whole from getting anywhere. I have yet to see any Indian leader not only make that distinction but actually act on it in a manner that phases religion out of government that makes good use of the majority of the nation to improve the country. As of now India behaves like the USA, benefit a small percentage of elites while letting the majority rot. Despite the hold these people have on the majority, with all these cases of female abuse and general hopelessness in India itself, most of the elite would rather run away then to fight for a lost cause, leaving a very large amount of uneducated angry people that will one day snap. I could be wrong about Hinduism but this is what I gather from my conversation with such people on a weekly basis

Their situation is a pitiful one that I suspect is exploited the west for its value against China but given its massive population isn’t being directed to true development and self improvement, rather then being a true threat to China, it is akin to an annoying pain in the backside and even its greatest ally Russia only really sees its value against the west rather then an equal partner like China as least seems to be. I mean just look at how Putin personally treat Xi as a friend whereas with India, Putin doesn’t seem to treat modi in a similar personal fashion where they send their diplomats to constantly inform each on important affairs in person or rolling out the red carpet with all smiles and real respect when they do and let’s not get into how the Russians general feel about India and it’s lack of cleanliness. Some of the comments there are quite mean but no one can deny that it is mostly true. I mean a true self respecting nation would at the very least try to improve that part but alas

That's for Indians decision to make and not China's. If the population writ large keeps voting to the same failing policies and leaders, then they deserve the outcome of their choice no matter how imperfect. They can go for a revolution if all else fail. And if the Indian leadership and its people are dumb enough to believe they can attack China and the Chinese people without massive repercussions then whatever punishment meted out by China is more than deserve. I hope it really does not come to that for the sake of the people on both sides.

I would add ASML lithography and Airbus in technology as the most prominent European high tech companies.
They're not really. ASML and Airbus are high tech but aren't tech companies in the sense of fast growth and easy scaling at low marginal cost. Their growth is slow and scaling is hard because they make industrial products that are ordered years in advance in very low quantities and are basically built by hand. They're not selling a phone or software.
