The west seems to really have a lot of doublethink these days. Guess 1984 was a reflection of themselves.

You know how they try to say both sides are bad when you call them out on hypocrisy? They can't actually do that and doublethink is a result of it.

Why is it his business who Nassim subscribes to on Twitter? Going by Drew Pavlou’s logic Steve Jobs must be a complete dumbass because he believed in homeopathic pseudoscience instead of doing chemotherapy.

Oh, the salary is likely not the core reason for rape and sexual misconduct in IDF, but it very much doesn't help and is a source of a lot of problems when it comes to the IDF (some of these problems might also result in sexual misconduct).

I thought this was common knowledge? George Orwell was a British Wartime propagandist who worked for the BBC and wrote 1984 largely based on his own experiences, with some embellishments and humour and projecting trends into the future of course.

But it was very much intended as a cautionary tale of what might happen if the people don’t wake up. I guess it’s ironically fitting that its true message is ignored by the western masses while the elites took it as a how-to guide.

They also say news is heavily censored and access is tightly controlled, yet western news media is always able to somehow get the "true story" out of China. It's amazing that western journalists are all basically James Bonds.

As you note, there the news is reporting an imminent economic collapse in China, low consumer confidence is often cited as a factor
