Is it? Xi's just congratulating the winner. Totally different from the US which tries to influence the election before the voting happens. Just like in Venezuela they tried to do a boycott of the elections in Bangladesh and it turned out miserably for them.
I was kind of expecting the US to be able to push their own candidate, and cancel the nuclear power plant the Russians are building in Bangladesh right now. It is good that the current government will be able to continue doing projects to make Bangladesh more prosperous.

I have got to say, i'm utterly surprised by this, as much as i blame this on BNP's incompetence. This is the first time ever we've seen China backing a particular political party parting from their traditional way.
I don't see anything different from China. Except for Taiwan renegade province, China routinely congratulates newly elected or appointed leaders. China had congratulated Javier Milei when he won his election. So they don't care who wins an election or how he/she wins it. All they care is can that new leader be on good terms with China.

By hiring Jai Hind journalists, Russia Today is at risk of becoming India Today one day.

Ignoring the headlines, this article exposes Modi's favoritism for Gujarat, his hometown.
Addressing the inaugural session of the summit, which was attended by UAE President Mohamed Bin Zayed and other dignitaries, Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Group and Asia’s richest man, referred to Modi as “our beloved leader andthe greatest global leader of our times,” who is “applauded” by the whole world.
Kiss Ass!

Another Indian tycoon, Gautam Adani, observed that India’s gross domestic product (GDP) grew 185%, while per capita incomes have risen 165% since 2014, when Modi took over as the prime minister. This achievement is unparalleled, especially considering this decade’s geo-political conflicts and pandemic challenges,” Adani said.
Lies! From a known fraud.

Like Modi, both Ambani and Adani hail from Gujarat. Ambani’s net worth is currently estimated at $96.6 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaire's Index (BBI), while Adani’s is worth $95.0 billion.
All Gujarati boys. India is ruled and plundered by them.

For instance, Ambani announced major infrastructure projects in the state, including a green energy giga complex in Jamnagar that will generate a large number of “green jobs.” The Reliance Group chief also announced that his company will help India’s ambitious bid to host the Olympics in 2036 by helping improve infrastructure in Gujarat.
Loud an lofty announcements before anything had even started. Build proper toilets first before building bridges that collapse or roads that craters. India to bid for the Olympics? What about that Indian Commonwealth Games in 2010? Nobody remembered that very fondly. It was instead overshadowed by the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games. Again, build proper toilets first before thinking about hosting the Olympics!

Adani, too, announced a slew of investments in Gujarat, including building the world’s largest green energy park, capable of generating 30 GW of renewable energy. Over the next five years, Adani Group will invest over 200 billion rupees ($24bn) in Gujarat, creating over “100,000 direct and indirect jobs”, he vowed.
Building the world's green largest energy park does not make India the largest green energy contributor on earth. India, at 163GW today has a long way to go to match China at 1163GW. "World's largest" is only just on paper. What if someone else builds an even bigger green energy park before his project finishes?

Mittal said his company will build the world's single largest steel manufacturing site at Hazira, Gazimat, a large port located in Surat, by 2029.
LOL! Again, finish the damn project first, then announce. But no, Indians just had to boast first before doing anything.

Modi, addressing the forum, claimed that the world looks at India “as an important pillar of stability, a friend who can be trusted, a partner who believes in people-centric development as well as the voice of the global south and an engine of growth in the global economy.
LOL! Liar. In India, Modi only cares for Gujarat and Hindus. People look at what you do, not what you say. Voice of the global south? Nobody from the global south nominated India to be their voice! Even the G7, who liked India, didn't appoint it. This is just India self-nominating itself, and nobody really cares. Engine of growth in the global economy? What growth did India contribute to the global economy? When China and the West slowed down, everybody felt it. When India collapsed several times in 2020 and 2021, nobody felt anything. Modi and his Jai Hind supporters are literally trying to talk Bharat Supapowa into existence. All talk and no substance!

I think Chinese people view things a bit differently from us given how things impact internally compared to external environment.

Leading up to the election, this was the day before , January 6

It is very China unlike to those who follow Chinese politics & their different gestures with regards to different scenario. What really was extraordinary, was this

Chinese ambassador gifting a boat (symbol of current party in power) to Hasina. This is unprecedented & has massive say in local politics, specially how does BNP come back from this?
My theory is that China saw Awami League going out of their way of bonhomie with India to recognize China's strategic concern regarding Quad, as well as joining BRI, hence China felt assured with current regime in power.

Which makes me wonder what the f--k BNP was doing all these years if they couldn't persuade China, & failed so miserably that China went all in with Hasina which is unheard of. China & Russia was first two countries to congratulate Hasina, not India.

Without China's backing, Hasina by now would be history.
If BNP is still the party to whom US says jump & they ask "how high", then they probably deserve what has happened. I don't understand what is going on with BNP .
