We‘re not even halfway into the first week of 2024 and political assassination near the UN is now a thing? I’ll get the popcorn.

It's been barely 3 days into the start of the year and we already have an aviation incident on top of an earthquake/tsunami, attempted assassination in SK and now a reported explosion in US.... 2024 is looking fine.
OK, so 2024 is shaping up to be absolutely LIT! 2 days in and we've had:
- Major earthquake and tsunami
- Fiery fatal air crash
- Assassination of Hamas deputy leader in Beirut
- Houthi shipping interdiction in Red Sea
- Ongoing wars in Gaza and Ukraine
- Harvard president resigns for plagiarism
- Attempted assassination in South Korea
- 5 new countries joining BRICS
I have managed to track down a copy of Claudine Gay's resignation letter. Here it is:

So much for "academic freedom of speech" at Harvard/UPenn, when your Jewish alumni donors can force the PRESIDENT of the university out, that's a huge problem. Imagine Chinese alumnis forcing Ivy league presidents out because of rampant anti-CCP is construed as sinophobia... the US media would say these Chinese alumnis are doing the bidding of foreign gov'ts! The same would never apply to Jewish lobby/Israel.
I am not sure whats the point of BRICS after adding these members. Its agenda will be driven by Mideast as those leaders have this unique ability to make every thing revolves around them. Even Africa and India are Mideastern by that logic. and no one will stop any free trade agreements with outside. and the countries that will want to enter will have heavy Mideast influence. and when that influence increases further it will be used for there own bargaining with the rest who are not in BRICS.
2nd casualty. Maybe next time the congress can just shoot the person saying the wrong words right in the room?
