Fun fact: There is no such thing as the "Warsaw Pact". The actual name is Warsaw Treaty Organization (WTO) or the "Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance (TFCMA)"
The term "Warsaw Pact" was a term concocted by Anglo-American propagandist to give the alliance a negative connotation.
It is like calling the US military block known as "NATO" in the US-controlled West, the "North Atlantic Pact" (NAP) or "Washington Pact" (WP).
I think we should all try to refrain from using propaganda terms. It does show how powerfully the Anglo-Americans can control the global narrative via their dominant media, propaganda and misinformation outlets.
So far we are only hearing noises from US and Western sources. We don't truly know if Venezuela will really go ahead and launch a military operation. I don't know the true history of this dispute to tell which party is right or wrong. Nevertheless the Western media is making it sound like 'evil' Venezuela is gonna attack Guyana anytime soon, and that the US and its allies are gonna standby Guyana. It smells like another attempt at proxy war provocation to me.
Its complicated and a long unresolved issue that has been pending deliveration by the International Court. Thing is, Guyana jumped the gun by giving extraction permits in the coast knowing this.
The overall issue isn't new, I've always seen the Esequibo marked as Zone in Reclamation in school books since I was a kid.
