In what is undoubtedly the most important news of the past week, I stayed awake till 3:30am to watch Australia beat South Africa and advance to the final of the 13th ICC Cricket World Cup. South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first, finishing all out for 212 with two balls remaining, while Australia scored 215/7 after 47.2 overs in reply.
The final between India and Australia will be played a few days from now at Narendra Modi Stadium (yes, really...) in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. India has been undefeated throughout the tournament to date and are undoubtedly favourites to carry off the trophy, while Australia are the most historically successful ICC World Cup team, having won the tournament on five previous occasions.
I will keep you all updated as I know everyone here is deeply interested in cricket.

While I do agree that Britain owes India reparations, those Indians who demand for those reparations may not necessarily stand with the Chinese, or other Asians for the same thing. Especially the Jai Hinds.
The Jai Hinds would ask for reparations from Britain on one day. And then on another day, reminisce with pride that their ancestors served as Sepoy soldiers for their British masters. They would blame Britain for destroying the glory of "Ancient India". But also, celebrate that "India", ahem the British Raj was on the winning side of the Opium Wars.
The Jai Hinds only care about what opportunities that India could grab. They would happily ignore the grievances of other Asians, even reveling in them for those Asians they don't like.
