Here is the thing, when Collin Coh agreed with H I Sutton in speculating that there could be an accident, I thought it was 20-30% credible since both the US and USSR have lost nuclear submarines. In other words, once-every-twenty-year or so accidents - particularly those related to SSN/SSBNs - are normal. Submariners are brave folks who are willing to play the Russian roulettes with nuclear reactors burning weapon-grade HEUs (China and France use HALEUs in their newest naval reactors, but still highly radioactive if leaks occur) whilst having to battle claustrophobia. Thus, I would not be surprised if China suffers a major nuclear sub accident since the last one probably in the 80s.

Nonetheless, when Lude and Li Mengyan mentioned "rim-driven" technology, I realised that they just lying. As we all know, whilst China is surely developing rim-driven propulsions, there is still a long way to go before the PLAN adopts it. The most recent 093B only uses the pump jet that has been available to the USN and Royal Navy since the 90s. It will be a while before the navies of any great power adopt such immature technology.

All this drama just to stop funding for Ukraine and create an excuse to dump Ukraine.
Hmmm let me have a wild guess, it must be the temporary deal he strike with Biden to avert US budget meltdown.....tough times coming indeed for Biden.
