What a way to toy around with your pending NATO membership application, Sweden.

I see this as Sweden striking back at Turkey for blocking their NATO membership application. It's rather juvenile but it appears that's all they can do at the moment.

Whoever thinks allowing North Korea to have nuclear weapons that can nuke Beijing in 10 minutes with little warning is in China's interests needs to think again.

I wouldn't say it's in China's best interest but rather the best option at the time.

Month old hearing but Republican + couple Democrats freaking out over the status of the dollar and the Yuan.

Republicans worried over a Gold backed Yuan.

Republicans scared that China is financing deals without the dollar.

They should have given more thought before setting the World on fire.

It doesn't matter. Americans have already brainwashed to think those balloons are spy balloons. Both CNN and FOX news have made sure of that. No amount of clarification or refutation can change that.

If you checked MSM, nobody is reporting such news in front page or discussing in discussion forum or reddit. MSM has always been exceptional good in brainwashing and twisting facts because their readers have been conditioned to think and accept facts in very selecting way.

Beside, they are still twisting facts by saying the balloon can gather information using civilian technology. Even though, Pentagon says that the balloon is useless in intelligent gathering but it is still a spy balloon because the Americans won't accept the fact that it is just a weather balloon.

to 1,000 amid govt scrutiny and poor growth

Amid increased government scrutiny and falling market share, Xiaomi India is reportedly slashing its workforce in the country to less than 1,000 employees, Economic Times reported Thursday.

The report revealed that the Chinese company fired 30 employees last week of the approximately 1,500 people it employed at the beginning of the year. One of the company’s senior executives was quoted by Economic Times as saying that Xiaomi India has prepared a performance improvement plan (PIP), based on which non-performing employees would be sacked.

In the first quarter of 2023, Xiaomi India experienced a drop in shipments, with only five million units sold compared to 7-8 million units the previous year. This decline has caused Xiaomi to lose its position as the top smartphone brand in India, a title it held for 20 consecutive quarters. It now ranks third, trailing behind Samsung and Vivo, with a market share of 16 per cent.

Furthermore, in June, the Enforcement Directorate, India’s economic intelligence agency, issued show-cause notices under the Foreign Exchange Management Act to Xiaomi India, its officials, and three banks. The allegations involve foreign exchange violations amounting to more than ₹5,551 crore. Show cause notices were served to Manu Kumar Jain, the former Managing Director, and Sameer B Rao, the Director and Chief Financial Officer of the company.

From China's point of view, allowing NK to have nuclear weapons is the cheapest way to maintain balance at this stage of expenditure,
How easy for you to forget that NK having nukes will justify SK and Japan to have nukes. How could that be cheaper? Do you forget that US killed Taiwan's nuclear program, shouldn't that be a cheaper choice to counter mainland China? Or it was too risky and US would loose any value (leverage to control) to Taiwan?
