One of my buddies’ daughter in Canada just got rejected by Harvard, Yale and Princeton. Good luck to all young Chinese Americans. Their abilities to ”put food on the table” look more and more like “can’t afford to put food on the table”.
What the New, Low Test Scores for 13-Year-Olds Say About U.S. Education Now
The math and reading performance of 13-year-olds in the United States has hit the lowest level in decades, according to test scores released today from the National Assessment of Educational Progress, the gold-standard federal exam.
The pathetic thing is high achieving Chinese students are being blocked from attending elite schools due to affirmative actions.Between high costs, anti-science, anti-intellectual dogma and persecution Chinese students/researchers, the state of education in the US isn't on a good trajectory. Signs such as dropping enrollment and financial pressure on colleges - enough so that 91 small colleges essentially shut down in the last 6 years (with the trend is only getting worse):
Not to mention math and reading scores of teens are at multi decade lows:
It's a bit of a shame since education is the foundation of society.
It’s theft plain and simple because Indians despite having its own homegrown company equivalents (all owned by Ambani), are simply too shit at competing in tech on the world stage.
Indian government requiring Chinese companies operating in India to appoint Indian CEOs, induct Indian equity partners, and hire Indians in key executive positions. Basically want to slowly absorb Chinese companies.
Chinese Americans are so good at academics, elite universities like Harvard and Yale, etc.. have to discriminate. I don't think Chinese American students themselves want to attend universities that are all asian. Would Harvard still be Harvard if it is 80% asian. The pathetic thing is high achieving Chinese students are being blocked from attending elite schools due to affirmative actions.
my buddy’s daughter’s black friend got acceptance letters from all three Ivy League schools she applied to.
I think when your ability to put food on the table depends on your graduating from ivy league colleges, you have a big problem right there, not everybody is a genius, here in australia, a beginner tradie like a plumber, plasterer, painter, electrician can be expected to earn $80K a year, and is not unheard of for a plasterer to earn up to $200K a year especially if you run your own crewOne of my buddies’ daughter in Canada just got rejected by Harvard, Yale and Princeton. Are you seriously defending blatant racism by victim blaming?Chinese Americans are so good at academics, elite universities like Harvard and Yale, etc.. have to discriminate. OP was talking about elite universities in America (Ivy League). So Chinese students in America. And if these universities accepted students solely on merit, Asians would dominate their entire student bodies. Are you seriously defending blatant racism by victim blaming?
I don't know about Chinese in America, but Chinese as a group overwhelmingly prefer fair institutions where workers and students are promoted based on merit.
Any data to support this?Hence why the institutions in China and Asia are the most popular choices for those who have the freedom of choice.
That's a typical viewpoint of what the modern term is called "shitlib". The hardworking Chinese child is penalised for succeeding on merit because it affects the rainbow palette of the student body. What you just expressed is the coded fear of the white anglo parent who cannot compete against the millennia old pro-social high IQ of the Chinese nation. The days of the Anglo universities as centres of scientific research coming to an end cannot come soon enough.Chinese Americans are so good at academics, elite universities like Harvard and Yale, etc.. have to discriminate.
