Fair enough, besides we are talking about Chinese pax, not American fatasses, so should be quite a bit lighter. The mass of people moving around is negligible though... Total mass of 6000 people each weighing 100 kg is just 600 tons which is nothing compared to a container ship.
Holy molyconsultations of Iran, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Oman have started with the coordination of China and with the aim of ensuring the safety of navigation in the Persian Gulf
US knows that at the moment, not only can they not pull off a succesful annexation, but even the threat of annexation is not credible. In short, if the US wanted to start a war with China, no need to do any of what they are currently doing.
If the Americans are going to fight the Chinese over Taiwan, then any bases to be used would be Guam and maybe a couple of Japanese bases, provided that Japan would allow them to be used, which is not automatic.
Anything else, like Korea, Philippines, India, Australia, Canada, all propaganda.
Both sides are buying time. Gentlemen, let the arm race begin.US knows that at the moment, not only can they not pull off a succesful annexation, but even the threat of annexation is not credible.
The biggest evidence of that is that China is still operating at disarmed levels. If China truly feared America could take over Taiwan (or other places), then you'd see a military buildup, but that's not the case even in 2023.
So why all these bases? The first step US needs to do before even contemplating a military operation would be to build up enough power to seriously threaten one.
With only Guam, Okinawa, Australia and Hawaii (mainland Japan being shaky at best and SK would be taken out by NK due to the MDT if they attacked), US doesn't have enough survivable forces.
By establishing a threat towards China in Asia, US hopes to make China use more resources into military and to throw off her economical balance. Of course, should China weaken her forces by a lot, there is a chance that US would actually invade. However I believe for now, they're only threatening and trying to make the threat more credible in order to buy time.
I recall just a few months ago many members on this board were very pessimistic about China's projection of power in West Asia with comments like "MBS can be couped any time since China's navy can't sail that far". The rumor of Saudi's acquisition of 12 052Ds was also quickly dismissed on SDF.
I mean, both Manchukuo and South Korea are ex-Imperial Japan puppet regime right? Makes sense they see eye to eye.I was surprised by Yoon Seok-yeol's response to China. Now he openly supports the Northeast independence movement and has delusions of the above region joining South Korea.
A seminar on the restoration of Manchuria was held in the auditorium of the National Assembly Library in Korea, attended by about four hundred people from all walks of life, including Korean politics and academia.

The emperor is pleased with your courteous mannerism and your offering of tribute, you may proceed into the imperial city and conduct your business.
Funny how that trip happened during the climax of the debit ceiling crisis and as soon as it became apparently that Musk was well received by the CPC the debt ceiling impasse was resolved, printing press is primed to run again and investors started pouring money into Tesla and Musk became the richest person on the planet once again. One wonders if the trip was entirely Musk's own idea or was he sent by some higher power as a gesture.
We already have CEO of JPMorgan and Starbucks doing the same, Nvidia CEO is now planning to follow the path that Musk pioneered:
At this rate maybe MFA need to setup a tribute schedule.
LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault intends to visit China this month after the country reopened following pandemic-era lockdowns that had hampered luxury sales in one of the world’s , according to people familiar with the matter.
On Wednesday, Arnault his perch as the world’s wealthiest individual to CEO Elon Musk after shares in his luxury empire declined in Paris. Planning for the China trip began before last week’s steep declines.
