Freedom strikes again:

A former employee of Amazon’s Ring doorbell camera unit spied on female customers for months in 2017 with cameras placed in bedrooms and bathrooms, the Federal Trade Commission said in a court filing on Wednesday when it announced a $5.8m settlement with the company over privacy violations.

Amazon also agreed to pay $25m to settle allegations it violated children’s privacy rights when it failed to delete Alexa recordings at the request of parents and kept them longer than necessary, according to a court filing in federal court in Seattle that outlined a separate settlement....

Before you can defend ground you have to take it first.

How will just SK and Japan with their relatively paltry navies break through Chinese defenses and secure a beachhead?

What you'll end up with is a naval version of the Russian parade into Kiev except way worse because China likely has literally orders of magnitude more firepower than Ukraine.

Only a full on attack by all of America's forces would have a chance to break through.

US needs to make the war fast and make it's annexation of Taiwan a fait accompli before China can start to arm itself up.
Capable of doing to the US what the US did to Japan, in what context and scope? To the US military assets in the West Pacific theater maybe, to the continental US I don't think so.
China's industrial capability is reaching the point of being able to take the fight all the way to the Continental US if absolutely necessary, if it hasn't already.

The U.S. just announced a new set of sanctions against COMAC for human rights violations

WTF happened to that Ferguson dude. He's become unhinged for a purported celebrated "historian."
That Niall Ferguson guy is just another white Anglo supremacist/fascist nutjob who believes that the Anglo-American "English" speaking world will reign supreme over any other people on earth for the foreseeable future. Just listen to his commentary on far-right US think tank YouTube channels like the Hoover Institute.

Here he is spouting off his far-right white Anglo supremacist views on China on the show Hoover Institute show "Good Fellows" (really actually bad guys):

Other far-right nutjobs present in that video are Mike Gallagher, H.R. McMaster, John Cochrane are of the same or worse mold.

Ladies and gentlemen, make no mistake, the world is dealing with de facto Anglo-American fascism here. The question is , will the world play appeasement 2.0 with these people.

I don't know why people keep bringing up south korea in any taiwan scenario, as if North Korea doesn't exist, NK is China only treaty ally for good reason.
Exactly. South Korea is effectively neutralized by North Korea.

Also, Japan is constitutionally limited from participating in offensive wars, also Shinzo Abe did push for limited involvement when allies are attacked overseas, but that does not apply to a Taiwan situation. as Taiwan is not a formal defense ally.

That leaves Philippines, which has one of the weakest/non-existent navies in Southeast Asia, and has trouble with tiny uninhabted islets... Aid Taiwan? LMFAO

Never mind that these 3 nations are the size of 3 Chinese provinces (e.g., Guangdong, Guangxi, Shandong).

No. This is the US activating its assets in East Asia. Preparing the field.

In short, if the US wanted to start a war with China, no need to do any of what they are currently doing.

If the Americans are going to fight the Chinese over Taiwan, then any bases to be used would be Guam and maybe a couple of Japanese bases, provided that Japan would allow them to be used, which is not automatic.

Anything else, like Korea, Philippines, India, Australia, Canada, all propaganda.

"This year is for decisions. In summer in Vilnius at the NATO summit the clear invitation to the members of Ukraine is needed and the security guarantees on the way to NATO membership are needed," Zelenskiy said.

Zelensky doesn't look so good anymore
