do you think dinner so costly? It was not about dinner but the dress code in the dinner. You always reply without thinking. Alberto Sánchez is i dont think of Arab decent but this what he thought when he arrived in Morocco.
You accuse me of being thoughtless when you understood no dinner to mean that a dinner was too expensive??? That is the lowest IQ interpretation I can imagine. It's not about about how expensive food is; it's that if you're not a big investor with big money, nobody cares to have dinner with you even if it's free. The News Channels don't even want to cover the event because no money means not important.
here a Mexican person bringing children from Syria for higher education during Civil war.
Here an unrelated event you brought up for no reason.
Arab does not need to make plane all they need is to channel enough money across Global Supply chains that the planes are made according to there specifications and required quantity with soft power to attract personal.
Its Arab wealth and energy with single minded focus that has propelled Civil Aviation to this level. There is absolutely zero chance any one can change this system in decades to come. look at list of 777X and 777-8 Freighter biggest customers.
So basically, it's all the hard power of money and wealth and energy. Nothing to do at all with soft power.

And also, Arabs aren't dominant at all in civilian aviation numbers. The largest Arab nation in civilian aircraft fleet size is the UAE,ranking at number 12. So... you said Arabs were dominant in civilian aviation soft power. You were wrong about the soft power and now you're wrong again about them being dominant.

why you post 2020 data. Air travel is necessity for US while Air travel to Mexico is discretionary aka Soft Power.
That is the most recent data I found for air traffic. 2022 data costs money to access. Why you post bullshit about one Mexican person bringing children from Syria to Mexico?

Once again, that's you picking Mexico's best of the best, most expensive place, crazy high labor rate, to represent Mexico as a country. When you factor in the whole country, Mexico's aviation growth ranks 9, by percentage, but by volume, it lags seriously behind larger countries with a far higher starting number.

You can't seriously compare Japanese imperialism to Russian imperialism. Japanese imperialism led to the deaths of more than 15 million Chinese people in just eight years. In comparison, the effects of Russian imperialism on China are negligible. Russia also played a crucial role in defeating the Imperial Japanese Army in Manchuria.

The vast majority of Chinese people aren't "vengeful" towards Japan and Britain. If that was the case, Japanese and British culture wouldn't be so popular in China. I think the best way to describe the attitude of most Chinese people when it comes to Japanese imperialism and British imperialism is "forgive, but don't forget, so that it doesn't happen again." I haven't met a single Chinese person in real life who wants to exact revenge on Japan and Britain.
No, brother, you can’t compare Russian and Japanese imperialism like that. They are essentially the same and you can’t rank them as good or bad based on the different levels of harm they caused. This is a matter of principle that cannot be shaken. Moreover, it is a historical fact that the Tsarist Empire seized more than 1.6 million square kilometers of land from China. It is the enemy that seized the most land among all the great powers. The vast majority of China’s elites in modern times have recognized that Russia’s aggressive genes pose the greatest threat to China. It just didn’t have the opportunity to fully exert its power in history, but it still seized one-sixth of our land area with only part of its power. What we discussed earlier was mainly about whether the modern Russian Federation must atone for the sins caused by the Tsarist Empire. Some people openly advocate that Chinese people should equate the Russian Federation with the Tsarist Empire or the Soviet Union and demand that Chinese people face today’s Russian Federation with the perspective and attitude of treating the Tsarist Empire. This is obviously unreasonable because the Tsarist Empire, whether its royal family, elite backbone class, government institutions or the entire Tsarist imperialist system, was smashed by the Russians themselves more than 100 years ago. What can Chinese people do? Do it again after more than 100 years? The Russian Federation has been a good neighbor from its birth to today, at least in the eyes of Chinese people. We cannot criticize its present life with its past life.

As for Japan and Britain, you are partially right. However, I need to explain that most Chinese people do not hold a grudge against contemporary Japan and Britain. This is because the Communist Party has taught us to separate the interests of the people from those of the imperialist government. Mao Zedong famously stated: “The Japanese and Chinese people are both victims of Japanese militarism. The enemy of both peoples is Japanese militarism.” I won’t evaluate whether this dichotomy is right or wrong. It allows most Chinese people to treat Japan and Britain with an attitude of “They are crazy and may have an episode at any time, but as long as they don’t have an episode, we can be cool, but it doesn’t mean I forget that they are actually crazy.” I am a native of mainland China and have lived in Wuhan all my life. It’s common for young mainland Chinese to watch Japanese anime while criticizing Japanese right-wingers. It’s normal that you haven’t met a Chinese person who wants revenge. But forgiveness? No one can forgive things like the Japanese invasion and massacre of China or Britain’s forced opium trade. It’s too difficult. All we can do is hope they don’t have an episode so we can be cool.

Unless they die and are reborn twice like Russia, we might be able to forgive them.

There’s me, a Chinese from Taiwan province who wants revenge against the anglos in general for their attacks on my compatriots and discrimination against Asians in Anglo society.
As for Japan, I view them as no different to the Liao dynasty of Song period China- a state yet to be incorporated into China proper.

My opinion on traitorous hongkongers was already at an abyss during the riots now it has dropped even further. How can one be so detestable. Where is the sense of kinship and unity for your own people?

In the article it says 5,700 applications were withdrawn from a pool of 357,000. So about 1.6% withdrew which is a very small minority unlike what the headline seems to imply. Unconscionable, but that's the price to be paid for not completely purging the traitors from Hong Kong. Still I wouldn't waste my time getting mad over the last gasp of these morons.

Let's also not forget that for the longest time, Japanese anime/manga was the province of some of the fiercest anti-war anti-Imperial sections of their society. With the rise of Isekai and the general popularization of the subculture more and more right-wingers have made it in but it wasn't always the case.

I would be OK with Beijing pressuring Cathay Pacific to fire those employees. A portion of society openly derogating another portion of society is unacceptable for both moral and practical reasons. It eventually leads to a divided society which is an absolutely horrible state for any country. For this reason behaviors that can lead to tensions between parts of society are crimes in a lot of countries.
From a personal perspective, Hong Kong and the mainland are essentially in a parallel state. I wouldn’t say divided, but definitely not homogeneous. It’s not surprising that local Hong Kong forces like Cathay Pacific and Vitasoy have distorted national and value concepts. Just think about mainland China before 1949. In a sense, the tens of millions in Hong Kong and Taiwan are remnants of old Chinese people with all their characteristics. So they have always been “divided” from us, and there is no “one part of society openly derogating another… leading to a divided society” as you said. Because it's already a fact. Of course, my view will be criticized by many, and I admit that we on the mainland bear great responsibility for this “division” continuing to this day.

I only put it to know your understanding. This dinner is not famous.

The writer got award for writing about Arabs. This is about Soft Power.

His novel MOGADOR, published by City Lights in San Francisco in 1993, was awarded the Xavier Villaurrutia Prize, the most prestigious literary recognition in Mexico. And in 2017 ARS received the National Prize in Literature, the highest Life Achievement Award given in Mexico.

It is about buying and developing the most expensive versions of Aircrafts. without Arabs we would be in very different place in terms of travel. Those dysfunctional democracies cannot get there act together when things get complex and supply chains goes across continents. It need bonuses and punishments with strict demands. like VC demand from a startup. You should be glad that Arabs were not after Semiconductors like they were after Civil Aviation other wise the technical gap of West and rest of the world would have been even larger in many more fields.

you cannot bring children from a warzone without government backing. You are after superficial things like dinners and not looking what actually Mexican government doing.

Your air travel is irrelevant and estimate at this point as it is mostly people moving from Global south to West. What i put is discretionary travel to most expensive place in Mexico. This is called Soft Power not travel for need.

We cannot trust modern Japan. Japan is still much like fascist Japan because many fascists are still in power today. Abe Shinzo was the grandson of fascists and himself personally supported Japanese far right. Until Japan is finally free from fascism, or is so weak that it does not matter if it is still fascist, Chinese should defend ourselves from Japanese cultural influence, including Japanese origin anime. Chinese should make it known that anime is simply an art form that Chinese have made great contributions to, and Japanese have no more ownership over it than Chinese have ownership over Chinese characters.

UK is still the same UK that conquered Hong Kong and forced opium into China, even the same dynasty is still in power. They have not yet been punished either. The reason we don't think about revenge is that we are simply far stronger than them and they are too far to threaten us again.
