According to both primary sources for election results, AA and ANKA, Erdogan is leading but it'll take a 2nd round of voting on the 28th of May.

Erdogan is most likely to win the 2nd round, especially when his coalition has the majority in the parliament.

It all comes down to marketing. Whomever that has superior marketing usually wins. The US is a master of self promotion and marketing. Whether it's via government or private entities the message is loud and clear..
China OTOH needs to ramp up their PR department if it intend to counter US influence globally. There is simply no other way around it.
Imagined if you want to sell a book. You do it on your store front which may get 25 foot traffic on a good day.
Your competitor sells his online in all the major retailers, Amazon, Ebay, Alibaba etc.. and aggressively advertise on all SM sites.
Who do you think is going to sell more books?

Sad day for Thai politics. Another country falls to Hong Kong style "youth led" subversion
People don't tend to vote because of foreign policy. It's natural that they don't want to be ruled by the military. But they certainly aren't removing the power of the king, so it's not really subversion

China's problem is that the US has successfully promoted itself as a supporter of democracy and made people believe that China supports military rule. When in fact China doesn't care who rules Thailand as long as they're open for business. Pro democracy parties should see China as an ally as well

Retarded anti-development parties. The US sponsored idiot in Thailand is against high speed rail in the country. The US sponsored idiot in Turkey wants to re-examine the Russian nuclear power plant deal. Good luck finding a deal like the one Russia gave to Turkey anywhere else. Plus, the first Turkish nuclear power plant is like a year or two away from being operational. They would derail their own national interest in the interests of their colonial masters.

Another China hating Chinese bought by one of the USG agencies.

The tactic is simple, seed another negativity about China. It doesn't matter whether the lawsuit has merit or not, politicians would start using it as evidence about how bad Tiktok and China are even before the case is heard in court. Even if the case is withdrawn in a few months time, the MSM ain't going to report it.

Need to realize that the US has a strong propaganda platform in democracy. Democracy is all about selling the idea of mass empowerment. Your average Thai has no power so when a party comes along promising to “give power back to the masses” it tends to work, because who doesn’t want “power”?

Of course democracy doesn’t actually work that way and more often than not it’s all manipulated by media and intelligence institutions, which the West uses to push its agenda all over the world. But for your average Thai, the promise of individual empowerment is a drug that’s hard to resist.

Democracy is the new opium of the masses.

Regardless of what happens going forward, two things are certain for Turkey:

1- Various forms of nationalism collectively dominate Turkish politics. Explicitly nationalist parties got a total vote of 25%. There are a lot of nationalists voting for major parties AKP and CHP too. So we are talking about one-third of the country. Turkey's default political alignment becoming nationalism instead of religious conservativism. This is both a risk and an opportunity for China. Turkey will engage Central Asia more going forward but these nationalist groups are overwhelmingly Eurosceptic and anti-American.

2- The country is looking at an economic disaster soon. Some countries may try to get influence by bailing (partially or not) Turkey out.
